I am. I have an official uniform for Commander Riker since my wife says I look just like him. I wear it every Halloween, School Spirit Week, and occasional trips to the mall just for the stares.

Riker has always been a hero of mine.

I find it fascinating that while I am in costume some trekkies will come up to me and ask me questions about Enterprise specifications or my experiences on certain planets. My memory is not good enough to recall the episodes, so I just give them a shoulder chuck and say,"You'll have to excuse me. Number One has to go number two."

My wife had a crush on wesley crusher when she was in HS.  I unfortunately look nothing like Wesley Crusher.

I love Star Trek TNG  and I also like Star Trek Voyager.

I used to love TNG but now I can't understand any of it

I'm actually amazed at how elucidatory the themes in Star Trek have become to me after watching the episodes again with a philosophy major. Just the other day, I watched an episode that was blatantly taken from the young Wittgenstein's Tractatus Philosophicus-Logicus (and watched Troi explain language to Picard in the exact same way that my professor recently did).

That is such a great episode; quite possibly the best.

It is the best TNG episode.  The best Star Trek episode across any series is DS9 episode The Visitor.

I think "Take Me Out to the Holosuite" is my favourite DS9 episode.

I didn't really like DS9.  I felt it was really limited.  Then in later seasons they gave thema ship so that it could be open to more types of episodes, but it really just looked like a different version of TNG, especially with some of the same recurring characters

The sequel is never as good as the original.   ;)

Well it IS set in the same universe in the same time frame...

What I liked about later seasons of DS9 was the conflict between the different races that erupted, and the Dominion occupation.  It was maybe part TNG, part Babylon 5.  But in general I found it to be darker and grittier than TNG.  Lighting was always subdued on the station, whereas on the Enterprise, every room and corridor had hospital lighting in it.  And it didn't wrap up the way TNG typically did, with the good guys winning and very little scarring to show for it.

I agree with Shaef. DS9 did a really good job examining the psychology of war. I also like how there were many charaters that were constantly being shifted between hero and antihero.

The following are probably my favorite dozen episodes of ST:TNG.

The Outrageous Okona - What would happen if Han Solo ever visited ST:TNG?
Déjà Q - How can you not love it when the all-powerful Q loses his powers?
Yesterday's Enterprise - If all of history has changed, but only 1 person knows, do you try to change it back?
The Best of Both Worlds - What happens when your greatest ally becomes your greatest enemy?
Remember Me - What happens when all the people you love slowly disappear, and no one remembers them?
Future Imperfect - How can you tell what is really real?
Devil's Due - Personal Note: this episode was the straw that broke the camel's back of my faith as a teenager.
The Game - Personal Note: this episode is eerily similar to a dream that I had around the same time it aired.
Cause and Effect - How can the Enterprise blow up?  Four times? In one episode?
The Inner Light - What better way to communicate your life than to let someone else live it?
Chain of Command - "There are 4 lights!"
Tapestry - How much of who we are is dependent on our past choices?

Déjà Q - How can you not love it when the all-powerful Q loses his powers?
Q: What must I do to convince you people [that I'm mortal]?!?
Worf: Die.
Q: Oh, very clever, Worf.  Eat any good books lately?

What a great hook for an episode.

I don't see Darmok on here.  "Shaka, when the walls fell."

Personally my favorite episode from TNG was Conspiracy... I just loved how it played out and the ending....
