I was about to go to bed and I was scrolling through Twitter on my Kindle when I noticed that Wil Wheaton tweeted this: A Redemption fun card.

Honest to goodness, this is the weirdest thing I've seen today. I have no idea what the card is based on. But anyways, it's really cool to see that Wil Wheaton posted a pic of a Redemption card (even if its a spoof).

...I made that. Like, over a decade ago. I bet he has no clue that Redemption is involved at all, and even less clue that I made that in high school.

Here are my originals: http://www.angelfire.com/hi5/redcards/allcards.html
They are awful.

That's pretty neat. It would be awesome if he actually had some knowledge of the game and promoted it.

Yeah, as far as I can tell, no one on that Twitter thread has mentioned Redemption at all. I did tweet to him letting him know the source, and also letting him know I'm doing much better things (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/firepeng/awesome-bots) nowadays than poorly made fan mashups :)

Some guy named Chris Willett posted 12h ago that "Redemption got weird."

Ah, missed that. Still, I wonder how he found it, and if he'll credit it me. The exposure won't hurt!
This is a tough story to tell people, by the way. "So, the nerdy actor behind a minor character on a 25-year-old sci-fi show just tweeted a fake card from an obscure Christian card game based on a side character from an old Flash cartoon without crediting me!"

[Insert obligatory "Shut up Wesley!" comment]

That's actually not bad. Jeri Ryan has retweeted some of my pics before and then others follow her lead and retweet them also. I have never tried a redemption retweet but i love it
