Title: Salmon Hall of Fame!
Post by: STAMP on June 04, 2012, 01:07:24 PM
Salmon swim upstream against the current.  In Redemption, this translates to succeeding with anti-establishment decks.  My first two nominees are TimMierz, for making hand-discard a Nats winning deck, and more recently, megamanlan, for winning MN State with an unconventional deck.  Bravo!!  :)

I know there are others, so everyone help out.  My memory isn't so good.  ;)

How about Mr. Hiatus and Ring Wraith for both taking third with Turtle decks* at 2010 and 2011 Nationals respectively?

Wraith used a Disciples deck for a few games though…

While I shudder to think I deserve any award, I'm curious about Mr. Manlan's "unconventional deck;" I'm unfamiliar with it. Could you explain what that is?

Almost.  Jacob was in there too.

He gets Angel's Sword and Wheel Within a Wheel on OT Mike, flips up Covenant with Death, and starts walking in for freebies.  He did it to me in a ROOT game.

I vote Professeralstad, in the years I have been playing I have seen Watchful Servant, Zeb, Gates of Sam, Heroless, and a ton of other anti meta decks.

Deep down inside you know you want to take on a NT Blue offense and an Obsidian Minion defense.
