In case my post in "Rule Breakers" is not read:

I was thoroughly enjoying the joke thread that has mysteriously disappeared.  Since I do not know who was in charge of moderating that particular thread, I would like some clarification as to why the ENITRE thread was deleted rather than a specific offensive post.  As a former moderator on other sites myself, I know that it is possible to delete the offensive post, type a reply explaining why it was deleted and that whatever it contained will no longer be tolerated, in addition to temporarily locking the the thread to make sure that the warning is actually read.

This is by far more effective than deleting the entire thread without giving rhyme or reason as to why.  And c'mon, it's a JOKE THREAD in OFF-TOPIC.  I've witnessed far worse on this board that has either been ignored or just quarantined.  In all seriousness, lighten up please?

As for everyone else: this is not a "complain about the moderators thread."  I don't know who the particular moderator was, otherwise I would PM them rather than "call them out" so to speak.  Granted, all of the moderators do a great job on the boards, I just feel this particular instance is quite odd.

Just FYI, the originator of the thread can also remove the topic on their own.

I was going to suggest that perhaps they added a moderator who happens to be French, but I'm not banned yet. So that theory goes out the window.

They made me a moderator, so I deleted the thread because it broke the rules that I was branded on the crown to uphold. Sorry for not notifying you of your impending ban.
