Title: R.I.P My Ipod
Post by: michael/michaelssword on January 20, 2009, 06:48:31 PM: the screen has cracked beyond repair :'( So I'm going to save up and buy this http://www.zune.net/en-us/mp3players/zune120/default.htm (http://www.zune.net/en-us/mp3players/zune120/default.htm). Now does anyone know of a place where I can turn in my Ipod for cash(I've heard of it being done with cellphones and Ipods but I don't know where)

Post by: Sean on January 20, 2009, 08:55:15 PM: Ipods are no more fragile than any other electronic devise of similar size. The solution to keeping your screen from getting cracked is to take better care of your Ipod. If you're not going to take care of it I don't see the point in spending $250.

I actually haven't seen this. Several friends of mine have had their iPod Nano screens shattered by cats stepping on them and other odd occurrences like that, but everyone I've ever known who has owned a regular-sized iPod (plus the two that I've owned over the years) has never had that problem. I really think it's just the Nano, which is what Caleb had AFAIK.

ah yes, and the price tag is a little different between Zune's and iPod's. iPod touch is awesome though, I'm thinking about getting one if my Zune would die soon. or perhaps and iPhone.
