Title: Question about the +1 -1 feature
Post by: Daniel TS RED on November 06, 2010, 11:43:56 AM: I was just wondering if there is a way that we could list the people that voted for or against your posts? I could see this to add value to the system. You would probably see the same people voting for or against the same people, but it would be nice to see, oh, that person voted plus1 or, oh, that person disagrees. I could also see this as a potential for people getting their feelings hurt too I guess. What do you guys/gals think if this is possible to do?

p.s. haha, plus1 to whoever gave me a -1 two seconds after I posted this. :thumbup:

I vote no. Mods could, maybe, but not everybody.

Post by: YourMathTeacher on November 06, 2010, 11:52:41 AM: FB allows you to see who likes/agrees with your posts, and I think that is a benefit.

The "dislike/disagree" feature causes problems as it is, and knowing who gave one would likely have negative ramifications. Although iron is supposed to sharpen iron, I have found on these boards that bringing in the iron only gets people steamed.

We are here to communicate and you aren't going to please everybody in the world since people have different opinions. So why worry about who disliked you if you know you can't make everybody happy?
