You have to use a link. First, copy the URL (address in the address bar), for example,

http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=21047.0 (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=21047.0)

is the address of this post. Then click on the button that has the world on it. You will make the following appear (except for the quotation marks):

["url"]["/url"]

Then you can do one of two things: you can paste the address you copied between the brackets, like this:

["url"]http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=21047.0["/url"]

It will look like this:

http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=21047.0 (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=21047.0)

Or, if you want to make it look cooler (instead of having the whole url there, just have one word that appears as a link), write it like this:

["url=http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=21047.0"]Click Here!["/url"]

And that will show up as follows:

Click Here! (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=21047.0)

When you try it, make sure to get rid of the " ".

Also, if you want to link to a specific post on the boards, click the title of that post, and then copy the URL.
