Title: Player Info Database
Post by: BubbleBoy on September 01, 2009, 11:04:59 PM
Lately I've noticed that there are a lot of threads that try to log information about who lives where, and what playgroups everyone belongs to, and what Hamachi networks everyone owns or belongs to, etc., which is stuff everyone wants to know, but the way it's organized now is sort of a hastle unless everyone participates. Why can't we just make official databases for that kind of information? We should be able to fill that kind of stuff out on our profiles or something, and then that info could be organized and posted by the server in a separate tab available to everyone. Then no one person would have to go to the work of having to check up on individual entries and keep updating the topic each time anyone posts to create a semi-accurate catalog of information. Is this kind of technology unavailable, or am I asking the wrong people? Does anyone else agree this would be convenient?

the only problem I would see with it is if people want to remain anonymous.  If that option is viable then I don't see why not.

You mean the way people are able to conceal their gender, age, location, etc. on their profile page? If so, then yes.

Make a choice to choose what you want to be shared. Not that hard. Profile tab does that.
