Lol. Typical Viking fan.

Lol hater.. The NFL is rigged.. The Steelers game was the same way. They refused to call any important penalties on the Steelers. And if the Packers are so good how come they couldn't stop a 3rd string QB from almost beating them? If it weren't for several stupid penalties the Bears would have scored again.

ALL Steelers games are rigged.  The NFL and the Rooney's got married a long time ago and we see the results all the time.  The interesting thing though is that Green Bay is like a mistress to the NFL, so we'll see what transpires in the Super Bowl.  It should be interesting!  ;)

I will give you one, and one call only from the game, and that's the intentional grounding on Hanie.

The third string QB almost beat us for the same reason that I expect Big Ben to beat us in two weeks - He was mobile. Cutler has never been a mobile QB, especially after his knee got injured in the second quarter. We're not even going to talk about the second stringer. Hanie was able to escape the pressure that came at him and made some good throws. However, he also made some bad throws. i.e. the Raji pick.

nope, my boy Clay matthews is gonna rise to the occassion and put a stop to that. BJ Raji is the man by the way, and there is no way that Rodgers plays as bad as he did in the second half two games in a row. After the Super Bowl, Packers fans will say, "Brett, who?"

There was the head to head hit on Rodgers that I don't think should have been a penalty too along with several others.. Peppers did his best to avoid it and it's not like you should put yourself in harms way just so your heads don't bump into eachother.

Yeahh I think he's better than Cutler easily. Cutler seems slow upside the head and Hanie seems like a quick thinker.

And Stamp just won the thread.. haha

The head to head hit on Rodgers!? You're going with that one over one of the pass interference calls?

Every single sports analyst in the world agrees that the Peppers hit was textbook Illegal. He lowered his head, lead with it, and connected with Rodgers on the chin/helmet area, additionally if Peppers hadn't hit him, Urlachers hit to the the head would have been called.

What several others are you going to pull out. There were only 15 penalties called in the game, so good luck.

The Raji interception wasn't even that bad of a pass--that was just a great defensive play call by Capers and a great play by Raji. If Raji isn't there, Taylor makes an easy catch and probably gets a first down. The only thing you can really fault Hanie for in that spot is being inexperienced, which led to not recognizing the zone blitz.

You cannot say that Peppers tried not to hit him like that. It takes some skill to fit the top of your helmet up and under the facemask of an opposing QB.

Cutler is slow and he doesn't think. Hanie actually showed talent for a 3rd stringer.

You cannot say that Peppers tried not to hit him like that. It takes some skill to fit the top of your helmet up and under the facemask of an opposing QB.
Not really. Hit him in the chest and your helmet slides up and can easily bump his chin.

And I'm not only talking about penalties that were called but missed penalties. There were several that the refs just blew off the same way they did in the Steelers game.

Cutler has the best pure arm in the league. Every single analyst says that. To say Hanie is better is the some of the worst monday morning quarterbacking I've ever heard in my life.

P. Manning
Roethlisberger
Brady
Brees
Ryan
Rodgers
Rivers
Vick
E. Manning
Romo
Cassel

I would take any of these quarterbacks over Cutler. There might even be a couple more (Stafford, Palmer, Bradford and Flacco are kinda toss-ups with Cutler).

That doesn't change the fact that Jay Cutler and Michael Vick have the single best throw in the league. Cutler has a gun for an arm. The critics argue he isn't as good as advertised because his footwork is bad and he is headstrong, not because he does not have a great arm. He can simply make throws that no one on that list but perhaps Vick can make.

I'm not sure what you are talking about, his helmet clearly connected with Rodger's mask, not his chest

Yeah. That is definately a head shot.
On another note, about every single one for my picks were totally wrong.
So I am picking that the Steelers will win, but expect that the Packers will.

He never said that Cutler had a worse arm. He said he was a worse quarterback and that he'd rather have the 3rd stringer. I agree. Cutler is not an excellent quarterback, he throws interceptions and has terrible footwork. They've had olympic sprinters as wide receivers and they were never as good. It's not all about natural throwing/running talent. You have to actually be a good QUARTERBACK. Manning doesn't have near the arm Vick has; but I'd rather have him because he reads the defense perfectly. He's smart and he's consistent.

I'd rather have Rodgers or Vick, they're both about 8 years younger than Peyton, and thus have that much more upside.

You can change mentality. You can not change talent.

Not sure I agree with this. Did you see how well the Colts played with practice squad receivers in the starting lineup? I don't think any other quarterback, with the exception of maybe Brady, could have done as well with so little. Take away Jennings and Driver from Rodgers or Jackson and Maclin from Vick and see what you get. I will take experience and consistency any day over potential. I mean how many number 1 draft picks have you seen descend into obscurity. Rodgers and Vick get hit too much for my taste, even though I will say Green Bay's offensive line is much improved this year. Peyton is more than a quarterback, he is basically the Colts offensive coordinator and when all is said and done will most likely to be the best quarterback to have ever played the game.

I don't agree with this. Sure you can change mentality but you can also change talent and that is why they go to Football practice about everyday.

I definitely pick the Steelers on this one.

Not true. You have a biology that determines your innate talent for X. Practicing X simply helps you maximize X. You can not surpass your roof for X that is set by your biology. I can practice throwing and workout and lift all day but I would never reach a point where I was ever good enough to even play for a high school team.

If Sanchez plays the way he can and I've seen him play I would take him over about half of those dudes.

And Cutler's X at footwork is terrible.

For Cutler, that's like saying the crab-walk is a practice skill for a hunchback

You should probably listen to what Dan Marino says about Cutler. He might know a thing or two about it. Cutler has a mental block to it, not a physical block.
Title: Re: PACKERS!!!

Whatever it is, it "blocks" him from being a very good quarterback.

I also don't think he has very good vision and ability to read defenses. You can't train that.

Oh yeah, Marino.  He's the guy that would have to party with Joe Buck, Curt Menafee, Jay Glazer, and Frank Caliendo.  ;)
