I have been gone from the forums for a few months and only came back a few weeks a go.  A thread was recently sent to "Open Discussion", but when I try to access Open Discussion, it says that it is either nonexistent or off limits.  Why is that?

That sub-forum has an age restriction to allow some members to continue to have discussions that cover more mature and sometimes controversial topics without disrupting the family-friendly nature of the overall forums.
