Wow, ended up here on a Friday night and all the memories come rushing back.
What's happened? I missed a lot. Haven't played in years. I'm married now, live near San Francisco, where I work as a software engineer (sorry Roy, no Java or C++).
Do I really have 8109 (plus this one) posts? (4.607 per day, even after all this time...)

Welcome back! No lies but I really had a gut feeling that you would be the first to reply to my request and you were mysteriously in my mind on this just right before you posted. Wired!!! While I was typing this reply I was humming the tune from the Twilight Zone series lol.

@SomeKittens, I ended up here from an email the forums sent about @ReyZen's tutoring request, and the same thing happened. It's crazy to think how long it's been since I've been on here, and how long it's been since I've played Redemption. Still dragging around along all my cards (can't bring myself to sell them).
Congrats on your marriage! I got married a year and a half ago (July 2013) and I work as a software engineer as well! Was blessed to be able to work for a Christian organization, David C Cook publisher, and got to move out to beautiful Colorado Springs.
So what are you up to these days?

Welcome Back! ;D
So, have you now become a Giants and 49ers fan? :o

Many new sets have come out recentally, the early church set released a new brigade (clay). Theasaurus ex preterius released foil cards and many new dominants have come out. Also the dominant cap is realitivally new, "you many only have as many dominants as you have lost soulds in your deck".

Yep, that's what pulled me back in. I've tutored in Java before, but that was in 2012 - so my skills have atrophied a bit.

My parents still have all my cards in their basement. SF life means a pretty small apartment. I'm a frontend dev currently after two full-stack jobs.

Giants, yep. Bandwagon! (Though I actually live in the East Bay, so technically I should be rooting for A's/Raiders, but, A's/Raiders).

I haven't been gone THAT long!

Who are you again?
You are not kidding about this question, right???
Wow, fond memories of sleepless nights at a gaming convention in NJ a few years back....My long lost Redemption sons are back! Peace all!
-
I'm that guy you spent a summer practicing your redemption skills against before you went to Nationals. Easy to forget, you beat me probably a couple hundred times and I only beat you like twice.
-
Well, well, wel...welcome, to the left coast! :)
East Bay, huh? Maybe I'll drive over the next time I'm visiting my parents in Rio Vista so we can have a 2-man tournament. ;)
Software engineer, eh? Systems Engineer here. Giants fan? Dodgers fan. You like kittens? I like puppies.
LOL, welcome back!

Including once at T2MP, meaning I placed first at the state level in only 6 of 7 events that year. Thaaaaaaanks.

You'd have to provide the cards - and I'm not sure I like the odds with a deck you've made for me.

I don't think i won T2MP. I know I won booster draft.

I'll bring my new starter deck, some booster packs, and a couple of latest tins. We can both re-learn playing sealed and booster. ;)

Y'know what they say about Data Scientists - they're statisticians who live in SF. Time for a career change?

I am moments away from buying Redemption from cactus and turning it into a multi-million dollar best-selling mobile game, that's what's new.

Congrats! Hard work like that always pays off. I've always been skinny as a rail but cardio still helps a lot with sleep/energy levels.

Good luck with that. I remember discussing the same topic with a few interested persons - never went anywhere, didn't hear from Rob.
