Title: Mystery Room
Post by: TimMierz on December 23, 2009, 01:03:55 AM
Today I was walking downtown to get my sister a gift, when I noticed a very strange room by the side of the road. It was largely empty. The only things in there were a Coke machine, a Pepsi machine, a bronze statue of the top half of an incredibly fat man, and the word "Normandy" written in yellow tiles on the ground.

Please explain to me what this was. (This is not a puzzle, this is just something I found inexplicable.)

Pictures would help more, but I don't know if you took any.

Sounds kinda strange though. Maybe it's someone's attempt to stop the division between pepsi and coke.

Sounds like the lobby of a postmodern art gallery.  "Fat Man" was the nickname of one of the a-bombs... Normandy was just pretty much "the" other major event in the same war... what that has to do with soda pop, I can't figure.  Perhaps a commentary on soda connected with the high death count?

I'm more curious about this room, however.  Is putting the rooms on the outside of buildings an east coast thing?  They're just there on the side of the road?

On a side note, I wasn't sure if the "not a puzzle" part was actually part of the puzzle, so I checked the Internets.  It convinced me you really saw it, which lead me to I enjoying your note to McDonald's.   :D
