<-- Tries to think of the last non Pixar Disney movie he has watched....

Right...Not since Mulan or Aladdin 3...when he was a pre-teen...I swear...if they do a Marvel High school musical....I will be very upset....although I'd rather see the teens fighting than dancing...

On the upside IF Pixar and Marvel work together, I can see great things....

The only question I have is: does this mean I can say Spider-man is my favorite Disney character?

LOL, good question.

Honestly though, I wonder if Marvel comics will be "kiddied down" now that they've been bought by Disney.

Captain America better still own Nazi's with his same old flair  :o

I really hope not... although I do doubt they can continue some of the more "graphic" comics.

Let's keep in mind that Miramax and Hollywood Pictures are also Disney Subsidiaries. Their movies are plenty graphic.  ;)

Hmmm, is the timing coincidental?  Did YMT broker the sale?  He did just buy a house within earshot of the park and works undercover as a tram driver.

 ;)

My jaw dropped so low, it's burning in the earth's core!!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Nice move, Disney! Maybe we'll be seeing Marvel Comics themed rides at Walt Disney World!!!

Maybe we'll be seeing Marvel Comics themed rides at Walt Disney World!!!

That would certainly be intersting since Universal Studios Islands of Adventure already has a Marvel Superhoes section here in Orlando, including one of their most popular rides Spider-Man, their (now second) largest roller coaster The Incredible Hulk, their only freefall ride named after Dr. Doom, their only "teacup" ride named after Storm, and their main costumed character show made up of Captain America, Wolverine, Rogue, Storm, and Spider-Man.

I have to wonder if Disney is flexing their muscle getting ready to take those trademark names away from Universal Studios.  ;)

It would be ok, hear me out, if they allow the original writers for the comics to keep writing them. If they get new ones, it's not going to be any good.

Universal is probably pretty scared right now, because their major competitor now owns the rights to their main attractions.  Expect changes to Universal very soon.

I really hope Disney doesn't screw up the superhero movies. I'm expecting great things from Ironman and Hulk.

I still don't see why Marvel couldn't keep the company. Buisness was boomer. Probably Obamas fault because people lost there jobs and havn't gotten new ones.

Yes, it did. I understood it!

I am curious as to how it will effect how the Captain America and Thor movies are going to be... both of those (I hope not) could be... unviolenced, lol. It's not a word... but it gets the point across.  ;)

I don't think this will change things much.  I'm guessing a main reason for this is Disney can now expand to a new disney cartoon network that has all the marvel stuff on it.

There will be no immediate changes. All existing movie contracts will be honored. Those movies have been in the works for years, so they will be unchanged.

The Universal Studios rides will also be unchanged. Disney said it would honor Universal's contract with Marvel which means that no amusement park east of the Mississippi can use the Marvel names on rides. Disneyland in CA is allowed to add some Marvel rides, as well as the overseas parks, just not here in Orlando.

Interestingly, if Universal continues to keep the perpetual contract with Marvel/Disney, Disney would have access to all Universal financial data, which was part of Marvel's contract to make sure that they were getting proper royalties.  :o

where have you been? marvel dose not have the rights to GI Joe or transformers comics any more.  A company called IDW http://www.idwpublishing.com/ (http://www.idwpublishing.com/) dose but Hasbro owns the all the copyrights to transformers (in the us any way) and G.I. Joe

as far as the rest
