Title: making a laptop with windows 7 into a wifi hotspot?
Post by: Master KChief on July 14, 2011, 01:05:40 PM
im having some trouble connecting my nintendo ds to my modem/router. i recently upgraded my internet and i now have a new modem/wireless router combo that uses the wpa technology. i can make a connection with my ds through the wpa; however, most ds games that are out now are not able to connect through wpa since it is a fairly new technology and must resort to using standard wifi. i've been doing some digging around, and apparantly you are able to make your windows 7 pc into a wifi hotspot so other devices can connect to the internet through it. i tried it a couple times, but everytime i did so, it kicked my laptop off the internet. does anyone have any experience in this, or possibly any software recommendations that would help me?
