Post by: YourMathTeacher on November 21, 2013, 08:07:28 PM
My wife just got served Jury Duty papers for a trial starting December 16th and slated to last at least a week. That is just wrong.  >:(

A lot of times you only have to go 1-2 days before they let you know that you aren't needed. They always select way more people than needed because of the selection process. You can hope that she has some sort of bias regarding the case. I read a story about a guy who was a big fantasy football player, to the point of obsession, and it drove his wife crazy. But then she was called upon to be a part of a jury for a civil lawsuit against a fantasy football website. The first question the judge asked was if she had any opinions about fantasy football, and when she expressed her displeasure over the influence it had on her husband, she was summarily excused.

We were kind of hoping the "mom of three homeschooled children" would work. Unfortunately (for jury purposes), my wife is a prime candidate since she never watches the news, and she is a wonderful & loving person who has no biases (which is why I love her -- the fact that she is a hottie is just gravy).
