just a question. there is a guy on youtube called kayfabe mashupz. he mixes wrestler theme songs together to form awesome tracks. he puts the songs on mediafire. this way people can download the songs. i really want to down load but i am afraid of it being illegal. so, can someone tell me if down loading the songs is legal?

If the origional song is copyrighted, then it is illegal

Those that make these videos say law is a little bit fuzzy. Although the songs are copyright, the videos could be considered parody (according to law, a parody is legally considered an original work), in which case it is considered "fair use" to make and distribute the video. I personally have trouble with that being the case since original material is being used, but the courts haven't decided yet.
From what I see of his work, it isn't just little clips, but most of the song, plus there is copyrighted images & video. Probably not something that can be considered parody.

yes it's legal. There is a share law, he'll get credit for "his composition" he just can modify the original and/or distribute it for money. If he's selling that right is only reserved to the copy right holder.
