Does it seem like we are seeing (more than usual) folks selling their collections, condensing down their collections or leaving the game all together?
Is it the poor economy, lack of close Redemption buddies, waning interest, maturity or what?
Your thoughts?

There's no need for Redemption cards when the world ends this year.
-
Im not certain. Even though it is sad to see people who cant play anymore, not going to lie, I have benefitted greatly from players selling their cards.
-
It seems like each year there are a couple big names who decide to sell off their collections and leave the game for awhile. Usually it is because they are transitioning from HS to college, or getting married. Occasionally it's because they decide to go fishing more, or get into another game. Occasionally they come back after a few years.
This year doesn't seem to be very different than normal in this regard.
-
Actually, the number of people selling cards will go up, as people try to raise funds to get to major tournaments and buy the new set.
-
Maturity. Yeah, definitely maturity for me.
;)

aren't you back again or did I miss another retirement ;)
-
Is it just me or does a Redemption player saying they're leaving the game for good sound a lot like the Rolling Stones saying that THIS is their last goodbye tour?

Ask my agent...some guy who's last name I can't pronounce. Fah-vruh or Fay-vree.

The Madonna never went on tour

She went all the way from Nazareth to Bethlehem, and not only did The Angels open up, but the whole countryside came to see her.

Many of the people who sell their collection are ones that have been gone from the game for awhile or who have been slowly slipping away and have finally decided to just sell it all. So while people are "leaving", we really aren't losing our player base. That happened awhile ago.
I agree with The Other Prof that this year seems pretty normal. R.I.P. Sauce. :'(

We also have had a few big names on the comeback, namely ProfA and Kirk. Who knows maybe the quadfather his back, I saw him post yesterday. Here's to hoping. :)
-
Quadfather is back? That is epic.
-
it is always sad to see people go, but as Ring Wraith said, its mostly people who havent played for like a year anyway, so we're not actually losing current players.
-
People who haven't played for a year but are still 14-0 against Ring Wraith over the last two years*.
