I'm in Torrance for a discipleship conference until Thursday. I didn't bring any decks because I won't have time to meet anyone unless they happen to attend the church where the conference is at.
Just wondering because I thought I recognized the name from last year's tournament page.
I'll be back online tomorrow night to check back (have limited internet access).

No way! I am in Torrance, CA at this very moment... I live here! (Since we've traded in the past, that's probably where you know the name from, as there's no playgroup in this corner of L.A. yet.) Also, Bryon's playgroup is about a half hour north-east of us.
What church are you at? Even if you don't have time for a game, it'd be cool if I was able to just drop by and get a handshake if you'll have a couple minutes of break sometime Wednesday. Let me know, but either way, welcome to Torrance!

I am staying at the Sunrise Best Western in Redondo Beach across from the The Cheesecake Factory. The conference is at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Tomorrow's breaks are 11-11:30 AM (coffee break) and 1:00-2:00 PM for lunch. If you want, shoot me a text message and maybe we can hook up at some point! I will send you a PM with my cell number.

Justin! All the way here from California East (alternatively called Minnesota)?
We have Redemption playtesting group from 6:45 to 8:15 pm Wednesday night at Arcadia Friends Community Church. We have lots of decks available, most with at least a few playtest cards in them. Send me a PM for directions if you are free during any of that time. Scott, are you free to bring him? Justin, if you are free and need a ride, and Scott isn't available, I'll come get you. Let me know.

He gave me a number to txt him, as web access is limited, so I'll contact him to see if he's avaliable this evening.

I will see what I can do but the schedule is pretty packed for us unfortunately...lots of information and not much time to process... :-\

Sorry I couldn't make it tonight, guys. Our group had a ton of stuff to work out--it's exciting for our church but it's been exhausting getting all of this information, trying to process and then coming up with a plan to take back to our church senior leadership. We were so tired we didn't even get a chance to check out downtown LA, we just worked until 7:30 and went back to the hotel to relax.
Don't get me wrong, this conference has been amazing, but it simply wasn't very conducive for outside activities. We will be back in October and we are going to plan to fit in some extra time (perhaps even staying another half a week to relax and do some fun stuff).
