How do you get stars on your profile?
-
The number of stars corresponds to the number of posts you make. So generally, the people with more stars have been around the longest.

Thank you.

Yeah, you max out with 5 stars once you have over 1000 posts. I forget what you need for 2, 3, and 4, but its under 1000.

How are the administrators chosen?
-
By Rob. Currently, I believe Rob and Schaef are the only administrators.
-
Have you guys by chance heard of RTSmaniac? I'm gonna buy some cards from him, just curious if anyone knows anything about him that I don't.
-
he's responsible

As Proffesor Alstad said, Rob decides that. However, Schaef can appoint people to be moderators of different sections of the board. Example, he made me moderator of the RTS subforum.

Thanks,I guess its rare for them to appoint another administrator.

Yeah, seeing as admins have the ability to mess with the structure of the boards themselves, while mods just have the power to edit/move/delete posts.

Good point :priest:

For them to appoint someone as a moderator,do they choose by the number of stars you have, your rep on the boards,or something else?

personality/reputation/responsibility
-
It's simply up the an admin. I was appointed as the RTS mod because I wrote up a nice comprehensive guide on how to update RTS. Lol.
Speaking of which, once I'm finished with my classes this year (two weeks away), I have plans to make that guide even easier to use. :) I'm gonna make some flash videos to simply show the entire process of installing/updating.

Do they appoint a moderator for Redemption Market place?
-

Justin Alstad/The Guardian
EDIT: intaposted

It would be cool if you could have a friend list on this website,to keep the screen name of someone with out haveing to write it down.
-
Well most of us are friends here, so that'd be redundant. Also Stars don't matter for moderatorship. I've had 5 stars longer than anyone else, but I am not a mod. Not sure why ;)
