Hey, I'm Jake. I'm technically not new to the boards, I joined like a year ago expecting to be taught how to play Redemption shortly after joining. And now, about a year later, I've just learned today and decided to poke my head into things. Yay!
Parties may now commence. Or something.

Welcome back

Well, I have to say something original now. ...Eh, forget it.
Welcome back. :P
-
Looked like someone got impatient and hit the Post button too many times. But thanks for the generic welcomes anyway ^_^
-
Welcome back. If you really want to learn the ins and outs of Redemption, you should join our online tournament and just start playing :)
It's free, has prizes, and you can find it here. (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=14793.msg231019#msg231019)

What do I do to sign up for that or whatever?
-
Join Hamachi and then post your name.

On the ROOT thread.

Most awesometastic.

I am happy to say that between Jonathan and I teaching him yesterday, he is going to become an Alstad prodigy. He hasn't won a game (as of yet), but has done much better than most beginners, IMO. Granted, it helps that I built him a deck with FooF last year and I give him free cards I don't need because of his special status as my boyfriend.
In other words, watch out! :P

Hey! Its about time you returned! :P I miss having your imput and arguments on these boards. You are definitely welcome back.

-
muhahahahaha. I has Alstad connections.
-
Wait, who are you Jake? For that matter, who are you, Britta? Who here lives in MN? Who was at the MN state tourney yesterday? I was there, but I don't know who any of you are! And who here is an Alstad? I'm confused! ???
-
Britta = tallest girl in attendance yesterday.
Jake = guy hanging around tallest girl in attendance most of the time he was there...
::)
-
Wait...is Achewon Enleaye Britta Alstad?!
-
Indeed. I also had an awesome hat on.
-
:o But...she's my age? ...I thought she was like way older! I might have pieced this together earlier, but I was familiar with Britta's avatar before she changed it and said, "I'm a sophomore in high school!" Being the doofus I am, I sent her a pm, saying, "Oh, what a coincidence, you live in MN, too, and are the same age as me; I wonder if I have seen you before." And then I thought to myself, "Oh, double coincidence, I believe there is another Britta that hangs around here," but as it turns out, it was the same person! Well...
And why are you so tall?!
-
Don't you just love it when things like that happen?
-
Why am I tall? I seriously don't know. Ask God that when we get to Heaven.
But yes, I am one person. Britta Alstad=Achewon Enleaye=Tall blonde girl that is a sophomore in high school that lives in Minnesota. :)
I am sorry I didn't get to meet you at the state tournament...but I'm hoping to be at Regionals. :)

Well, I think I first saw you at the T2 tourney in...March was it? That I believe was the only other time I saw you before yesterday. If you want to try and see if you can identify me, I am also very tall (taller than you I think?), but I am also quite wide, with brow-length brown hair, and dash it all I think I forgot my glasses that day. :-\ Anyway, I am also insane, and generally either wander around aimlessly or perhaps tag around Martin Miller, the slightly taller than me although much skinnier black kid. That time that you were playing SSBB, I was at the other end of the row of chairs, if that helps at all. ;D And if you still don't recognize me, here's a little slapdash webcam picture of me from a few weeks ago (perhaps one of my better portrayals):

Indeed. I also had an awesome hat on.
my fedora was definately better. mine was mobster.
on a side note, welcome back!
-
Mine had a cross on it <_< >_>

Mine had a cross on it <_< >_>
yours was the 'pop style' as I've come to call it. with the back small and way bent up. mobster totally wins. with class.
proof: everybody was stealing mine. I only saw your's on your head. and maybe Britta's...
-
Counter-How many people know you versus how many people know me? Thus, how many people are willing to walk up to a stranger or new aquaintance and steal their hat?

I figured that would be the response... but you still can't compare to the classiness of mobster fedoras
-
I have to admit, that was pretty classy; however, I don't remember seeing anyone else with a hat, so I don't have much to compare.

Mine can be both.
However, in the end, though both of us had awesome hats, there is one final call
I look better in it.
-
I had a hat with a spaceship/puppy dog on it
-
Would that be the same one that I sat on? ;)
-
It might be
-
I look better in it.
are you calling me fat?!
-
No, I'm calling me attractive. :-p
-
My hat said Jesus is My Boss, I think I win.
-
Hey,
Added to my "to do" list:
- Ask God why Britta is so tall
- Steal Jake's hat
Tschow,
Tim "Sir Nobody" Maly
-
Stealing is bad!!
-
a bad card, yes.
-
Tim's going to break into mah haose!
-
Well, he does live in Nebraska, so it'd be slightly difficult to break into your house...
But I wouldn't put it past him either! :-P
Let me know what He says, Tim! :D
~Britta
-
Hey,
Let me know what He says, Tim! :D
He won't know I'm there, so he won't say anything, unless he talks in his sleep in which case it'll probably be some nonsense about pterodactyls on mopeds...although if I'm going to take the time to visit Jake's house, maybe I'll stick around for a day or two and try to help him out with his spelling :P
Tschow,
Tim "Sir Nobody" Maly
-
I meant what God says about how tall I am, but oh well. That works too, I guess.
And Jake's actually quite the spelling/grammar freak...more so than me...which can be annoying at times, lol.
~Britta
-
I spelled mah haose right. It is a synonym to my house
-
u dint put a peroid at da end of ur sentance. i tel u cuz i like grammarz.
