Has there been a huge purge of the forum?

I was looking for the thread on TEAMS play and noticed it was gone.  Then I noticed that a WHOLE LOT of thread are gone.  Is anyone else seeing this?

Yeah, like 90 pages of the off-topic were deleted.

I was wondering why I had only started 20 some topics... and why redemption99's 101 topic starts were all gone

*sighs* I had a feeling. That is depressing, just cuz a thread is older doesn't make it useless.

I think most of the threads are fine to go, EXCEPT for the Ruling Question threads.  I reference those frequently during online games if there is a question and I knew the answer was posted online for easy referencing.  However, I discovered this past week I could not do that as there are only the most 12 recent pages in Ruling Questions...  :-\

Agreed, but the teams thread is gone too, along with other game types. And I hate seeing old decks go away. I use them frequently to see ideas in them and modify my old ones (bumping them after, but I have to edit them first) and other such nonsense. I don't mind the others much but decks/Rulings being deleted is bad

I agree with Kirk also. There have been several recent Rulings Questions threads that have rehashed old debate threads that finally came to a resolution. To have those resolutions thrown out is setting us up for more debates. There should at least be a sticky thread that takes final rulings and posts them for permanent recall.

Many of the RoA questions were asked long before the majority of the community even started building up their RoA collection. The questions are coming now, but the answers were figured out in threads that date back to Natz.

I'm with Red'Rocks in that I really enjoy going back and mining ideas from old decks.

MichaelHue's posts on DiamondWall? Gone, gone, gone.  :(
Heroless of the North? Buh, bye.   :(

What we really need is some sort of archive so that the old threads are out of the way but still able to be searched for and viewed.

Matt, the Heroless of the North was broken by FooF, and probably even more so by RoA, though I have yet to get a good look at the new cards. I haven't had time for Redemption since...State, sadly. But I actually asked my bro today about heroless and he said it was broken. Which is too bad, seeing as how I was thinking it'd be fun for the Princess to randomly show up to a tournament with a heroless and having everyone be shocked that I was converted to the 'dark side' ;)

I'm a little disappointed in this, myself.  I was told a purge was coming, but I hoped the rulings thread would stay put.

I'm surprised there wasn't a thread 'OMGOSH SCHAEF YOU DELETED ALL THE OLD THREADS!'

I've seen Clear and Present Danger, so I'm not falling for that one. Don't make me call in Jack Ryan (with Alec Baldwin reprising the role).

Forget Jack Ryan...today's "I'll take on anyone even the President of the USA" hero is clearly Jack Bauer... :P

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

What you apparently have not seen are the 30-second TV spots or full-length trailers for Frost/Nixon.  :p

It's not the original crime; it's the coverup.

Schaef, there's a Mr. Woodward and a Mr. Bernstein on line 1.

What is it with Jacks anyway?  8)

Besides, noone is more intimidating than Alec Baldwin as Jack Ryan. He only gave up the role to Harrison Ford when he was offered the more lucrative role as the narrator in Thomas the Tank Engine.

However, now that Harrison Ford is busy filming Indiana Jones and the Chamber of Secrets, Baldwin can step back into his supreme role.
