Title: Favorite Hero in Redemption
Post by: Xonathan on September 10, 2016, 03:00:45 PM
Just something I was thinking about. Who is your favorite Hero is Redemption? Also, what Hero/or banding Heroes combo do you think has had the most rescues?

Simeon Captain has to be way up on the list of most souls rescued with a band. Solo hero it's probably Moses, King David, Captain, Strong. Not sure who else is up there but those 4 are probably all top 10.

I personally really enjoy Gabriel from the I/J decks he was so much fun to use the year I took 2nd in t1-2p. If John wouldn't have arrested me Gabriel would've most likely been the MVP.

I don't know why, but I really like centurion at Calvary. He's just so cool! And with Angelic Visitor, he's even more powerful!

My most rescues have probably been with Asahel. David though is my favorite hero because he's my favorite Bible character after Jesus!  :)

Personally I didn't count him. He rarely stays in to actually save the soul.

My favourite hero is Hosea. Nuff said 8)

However, he isn't the most useful hero out there by a long shot. I'd say the one that has made me the most rescues in my short and albeit underwhelming redemption career has been Zebulun. Keeping him in play is an issue though, cause Christian Martyr is a thing that exists lol

My favorite hero is captain. I know it's not original, but He has been in almost all of my decks throughout my playing time.

Heroes with the most rescues: The Strong Angel, Widow (For all those AOC days), Moses (the new one and the old one thanks to Cov. Moses / Transfiguration), Captain by himself and definitely Simeon/captain, and now Joshua/Captain, the TGT ladies won a TON before they changed the ignore rules.

Overall it's probably something with the following heroes: 1. Captain, 2. Moses 3.The Strong Angel 5. King David 6. Anything with Provisions on it (Benaiah) 7. Widow 8. King Amazing 9. Mary the Mother of James 10. Jacob  (Jacob/Captain)

Banding: Anything ending with captain: Jacob / Simeon / Israelite Archer. Maharai /Claudia /ET

He's new on the scene, but CoW Melchizedek is the bomb diggity.

CotH is probably the most rescuing hero of all time.

I'm a pretty big fan of Isaiah. Instarecur CBN battlewinners? Yes please.

My personal most rescues are probably Aaron/Moses, but I'd agree with everyone else that Cap is probably the highest of all time.

The Hero I have a sot spot for is certainly I/J Jepthath. After him, my most rescues is either Gideon or Moses.

Currently favorite hero has to be CoW Rahab. She literally does it all. Great card for T2.

I'd say that Samuel likely is among the heros with the most resues. Possibly Ahimelek the Hittite as well.

El Capitan!!

Honestly my favorite hero in Redemption at the moment is...

The Hard Hearted Pharaoh!! I especially like him with horses and another Exodus Egyptian hero to band to like Egyptian Horsemen!!

DC 1 off the top with Given over to Egypt.. DC 3 off the top with The Hard Hearted Pharaoh banded to Egyptian Horsemen!!
Play first off of Horses Faith of Gideon to make your Evil Spawn fight one of their evil characters to DC 1 off the top.
Get initiative with Evil Spawn to play Revolt and DC more cards off the top of their deck!! Yippee!!!  :kenobi:

After The Hard Hearted Pharaoh comes Hur(Philip's Daughter's is a great mini Hur)

And all 3 of my favorite heroes are Exodus and get protection from Momo's Rents!! Yeah!!!

Your combo doesn't work - Egyptian Horses says you may play an EVIL enhancement.  The only horses with that specification, I think.  And the banding/playing interaction would mean you have to play before you band anyway.

You could use that one priest to get naamans horses out of dc and convert it to whatever THHP is.

My favourite Bible character: Jesus :)
My second favourite Bible Character: Hosea  8)
My favourite Redemption hero: Asahel  :o
The redemption card i hate the most: Moses (CoW)  >:(

Most rescues: I haven't been around long enough, but I'd have to say I can definitely believe a Captain band achieving such a title.

My most rescuing hero from last season may have been Philemon but that is because he is the only draw hero in the offense, and because of protection from Onesimus /watchful leaders.. Which Moses and Coliseum negate anyway. He is the only draw option besides mayhem in that deck trying to keep up with throne and other way faster offenses. When it came down to it he was one of good but honestly not great options in that meta.

Jude and Onesimus often proved more useful for initiative which is why I made the suggestion for Paul to potentially become a draw, initiative, and semi fbtn hero. Ot has many fbtn options while nt has 2 tsa and Clement-which as far as I can tell people aren't playing Philippi because they get out drawn by many offenses  :2cents:

conclusion: drawing is important. nt needs more versatile draw heroes who are useful and can be splashed where ot has a myriad of fbtn and drawing heroes, even drawing and fbtn heroes who work together (ie auto/moses or ishmaiah/ira or auto/joshua/captain).
