No reason to wait on Season 5 of Doctor Who. Just watch them here. (http://www.doctorwho-episodes.com/watch-doctor-who-episodes/doctor-who-series-5) "The Beast Below", "Amy's Choice", and the 2-parter ("The Hungry Earth" / "Cold Blood") were all excellent.
In addition, I also really enjoyed the Christmas special that Matt Smith just did over the holidays.

Nobody stays dead in Doctor Who...especially the Daleks...
Amy was almost as bad as Rose, but Donna was just awful, IMO. She seemed utterly useless. At least Amy doesn't rage at the aliens whenever they do something she doesn't like.

Man, I think I have just about the opposite opinion of everyone else here. I haven't gotten to Rory yet (only watched through episode four of series five), but this is how my list would go:
Rose/Amy>Donna (the Silent Library series won me over)>Wilfred>Captain Jack (only because he is the Face of Bo, as a human he's pretty gay)>The chick from the Titanic>Martha>the Doctor's hand>tofu>Micky
As far as Doctors, David Tenant is and will always be the consummate doctor from the rebooted program. However, I still like the first Doctor and the newest Doctor.
What I want to know is why on earth the Doctor has to exterminate the Dalecs for the last time so many times. Although I guess it's kind of hard to top defeating the evil Time Lords unless you bring back the Dalecs again, but still, it seems like the writing was a tad more creative during the first two Doctors of the reboot.
Which brings me to my next point: the writing is EXCELLENT for this show. The dialogue is especially good, and there have been quite a few individual lines that have made me go "wow."
Once we get past arguing about the cosmetic stuff contained in the thread so far, I'm itching to start talking about the deep parts of the program!

River Song is The Rani. Discuss.
As for the deaths, I don't care if no one stays dead. They should. I'll obviously let the Doctor slide, beings he is important. I'll let the Daleks slide beings they're the most known villains. I'll let the Master slide beings he is uber important, uber awesome, and his name is Koschei (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koschei).
But no one else. No one. Rory is my favorite companion. He should be dead and I'm mad he's alive.

Interesting. I don't have any theory since I've seen no pre-reboot Dr. Who, but it'd be super tight if she were a Time Lord. That would explain why the Doctor would marry her and why she seems to keep running into him in drastically different periods in her life without having aged, and also how she would know he wouldn't have survived the surge at the end of the Silent Library arc.

It's kind of a joke that everyone is the Rani, but I don't expect Doctor Who to bring her back beings no one knows who she is. Disappointing too, beings she could make an awesome character (despite only appearing in possibly the worst episodes ever made).
I believe there have been one or two sneaky mentions of her in the new show.

I really hate the newest Daleks. Exterminate the rainbow? Seriously?

It really does make sense. I just thought River (would) kill(ed) him. Depends on whose perspective its from, haha...
