I'm not sure what defence in Redemption is considered good or bad(considering that I have't tried all of them).
Anyone have any ideas for a decent d-fence?
I currently use Egyptians,I still need some suggestions from all you so called pro's here on the boards.
Out of the two,Philistines,Babylonians.Which one is better? Which defence PERIOD is best?
Thanks!
-
Philstines.
-
One suggestion is just correctly typing defence... its faster than d-fence, as the e is right next to d. ;)
As for your deck, my honest suggestion is to just try them all out and see what fits YOUR playing style. Personally, I prefer monstrous, hard hitting defenses... and I mean 30-70 card defenses.

30-70 card defences? WOW! Will modify topic.
One more thing, out of the two, Babylonians,Philistines.Which in anyones opinion is better?
-
Philistines.
Instead of crossing things out, you could just remove them from the post entirely. :)
-
Do the Phillies go through different color brigades?
Are all the Phills the same color brigade?
-
Philistines are pretty much in Black, but there's Lahmi, Ishbibenob, Saph, and Delilah are Evil Gold, Crimson, Grey, and Brown respectively.
-
30-70 card defences? WOW!
Defense is serious business. I don't design my defenses to simply hold off the opponent until I win, I design them to outright stop them. :P
A sitelock or demon defense of this size is never easy to break through. :)
-
I've heard a spade is a pretty good de-fence. :)

I prefer dynamite

I use the Lahmi-Saph-Isbibinob-Philistene Garrison band (with the draw two play one enhancements). This is draw 8 and play 2(due to stupid requirements). this is a VERY effective defense with Ashdod.

"The best defense is a good offense" -Patton (I think)
Scissors.
Or Site Lockout/ECless.
-
See again its what you want your defense to do.
If you want it to win a game? Babylonians
If you want it to just block? Philistines.

Got 2 Q. Are Babs expensive,do babs come in diff color brigades?
-
No, getting the Foof/Roa set of babylonians and the protect fort gives you most of what you need besides starter and uc/common cards.
No, they stay in crimson for the most used ones.

Cool.
I wonder how much all the BABS would be?
-
All the good Babylonians are Crimson. There are a lot of good Babylonian cards, but none of them are very expensive (pretty much all of them are FooF and RoA, plus a few from TexP).
-
Astrologers is a Babylonian, so you could get him in gold, but that's the only non-crimson bab i can think of.
-
Good point. Also, Astrologers is Crimson/Pale Green and the Winged Lion is Orange/Crimson. Crimson also has Seven Sons of Sceva to work with Orange.
-
Babs/Demons work well.
-
I'll need to get some Babylonianss soon :D
-
FWIW, Chaldeans are gray Babylonians, and are also Magicians.

Interesting...

Interesting indeed. Gray actually has a lot of magicians, they just aren't very good. Elymas, Laban, Balaam, and Chaldeans are all considered magicians.
Also, I'm going to start a thread checking on The False Prophet. He performed/will perform/is performing miraculous signs and wonders, and his power was/will be/is definitely Satanic (depending on your interpretation of Revelation of course).

Elymas is abuseable.

Elymas is abuseable.
Not really. There are some nice combos with him to be sure, but it takes a bit of setup, and he can only hurt a hero in a territory. If he said discard a hero in play, then he would be far better.

Oh my combo is deadly.
-
Erm... I also use Elymas, but I cant think of a truely "deadly" combo to use him in. Best is just using orange's epic demon recuring powers with Elymas.
-
I'm going to assume the combo is the one I told you about over PM. If so, then I originally heard of it on something Lambo posted. So if it is so deadly, I think Lambo would know about it. The only way it could really be deadly is if there was a way to use it more than once in a turn, which there is not because there is no way a unique EC's ability can activate twice in the same turn.
