Creation Museum Advice

Hey everyone,

In an effort to make the most out of a trip to Nats this year, my family and I are planning on stopping by the Creation Museum for a couple of days on the way down to the tournament.

I have heard that it can be a lot of information to take in, so I am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to structure our time there, and/or if anyone is aware of any ticket discounts out there.

Thanks!

That's super exciting that you guys are going to the Creation Museum! I wish we could come with - it's amazing and I love it! So here's my advice:

- Yes, there is a TON there to take in. You could easily spend 2 days at the Museum if you have time. If so, I would recommend using one day for the main walkthrough (the walkthrough of Genesis 1-11), which takes about 3-4 hours. You could then add in some of the outdoor extras like the petting zoo and gardens to fill out that day. Then for the 2nd day I would go to all of the shows, planetarium, and extra displays/exhibits that are inside. You'll also probably love the main walkthrough so much that you'll want to zoom through it again :)

- Also, if you're going to the Museum, you HAVE to also go the ARK! Also amazing!!!! It's only about a 20 minute drive away. When we went, the Ark had just been completed (so the Flood was about to begin, j/k lol) and so they hadn't filled everything out yet (especially the attractions around/outside the Ark itself). So in our experience, 1 day was good enough for the Ark.

- If you can only spend 2 days, then I would recommend the Museum on one day, and the Ark on the other.

- If you can only spend 1 day, then it would be jam-packed but you could swing it to spend 1/2 the day at the Museum (main walkthrough) and the other 1/2 at the Ark. But it will be like drinking from a firehose

Thanks Jesse!

I knew you had gone so was hoping you would give some input.

Still looking for advice from others if they have it!  The trip is looking expensive too, so please let me know if you are aware of any discounts or coupons, etc.

I did this last time that Nats was in Ohio.

I definitely say to take it in over two days.  It would be too much to do in one day. Take advantage of the shows at the Creation Museum, I enjoyed the Planetarium, zip lining, and really took my time going through the exhibits. You could do it, but it would be too much in my opinion.

If you can only do one the Ark Encounter was my favorite of the two, but both are awesome experiences.

I did the Museum first followed by the Ark the next day. But whichever works out better for you logistically because the order really doesn't mean much at all.

There is some overlap: There are zip lines at both places, there is a petting zoo at both places, and obviously, there are places to eat at both places. There is some information overlap, but not enough where it gets repetitive or annoying. I loved my trip there and recommend both places to everyone.

If you want to save money get the bundled tickets, don't do the zip lining, and pack a lunch because food prices are high at places like this.

Enjoy.
