Title: Buying a New Video Card

Buying a new video card for my comp. It currently has 256 MB built in to the motherboard and I want to get a Nvidia 1 GB. Also want to pay less than $100 for it.

I was looking at a list of some on newegg but i dont know any of these companies. ANy help?

I would Recommend the top one as a first choice, but it is a large card, so the second one is also a good choice and it is low profile(takes less space in the machine). If you like neither one try this one:

It is an ok card but I like the top two better.

Post by: Lamborghini_diablo on July 16, 2009, 10:49:43 AM: While I didn't build my computer (it's a Dell XPS 630i), mine has two 8800GT cards running in SLi. Together they have 1gb of video memory.

Would you happen to know (A) what motherboard you have, or (B) what slots are availible?

I have a PCIe x16 available

The speed at which the card sends and recieves information from the system, looks like your pc has PCIe x16 so my recommendation stands.
