I am a huge Marvel and DC fan.. Have you ever heard of the card game VS System? It's all about comic characters, and it's amazing.. lol My favorite Marvel hero would have to be Deadpool and DC I would have to go with Tim Drake/Red Robin. You might find this interesting, I have a profile pic on vssystem.org of Deadpool! Check it out.. http://s11.zetaboards.com/vssystem/topic/7225917/2/#new (http://s11.zetaboards.com/vssystem/topic/7225917/2/#new)

Actually, my point was that of course there are marvel/DC fans here! This place is full of teenage nerds! :D

But yeah, your point is good too. :D

I'm not talking about anyone specifically here, but this is never a good idea.  Being a "full member" has NO extra privileges.  Having more stars next to your name gains you absolutely NOTHING.  However, posting a bunch of spam will cost you the interest of other forum members who will start simply ignoring posts that you make.

Basic moral:  Spam only hurts yourself and others.

That was completely rude and uncalled for.. I haven't been a member here very long and seeing certain members point out other members like that certainly doesn't give me alot of interest in staying a member. I know I am selling my collection of Redemption cards, but I still wanted to be a member here. I think it's a great community, and love message boards like this one. Posts like that make me wonder though.. I mean if you are going to say something like that, keep it in a PM.

First of all I completely apologize that I offended you or was rude to you deadpool 24 .(talking to Deadpool24) I thought you knew me well enough that I was just being sarcastic I wasnt trying to stir up your thread I say this many times in my life I live and the language of sarcasm (I know thats not a good thing  ;)) another thing I would have to say my favorite hero would be Green Lantern.

Sorry again,

Title: Re: are there any marvel/Dc fans?

Most powerful? Hm... The Silver Surfer. He can fly at the speed of light (actually above this), and therefore there is about 1% of heroes that can even SEE him. Out of them, I'd say he's the most powerful.
Title: Re: are there any marvel/Dc fans?
Post by: xMr. Lemon Headx on June 09, 2010, 09:43:17 PM
But off of that board he becomes a NOBODY! Superman is probably one of the most powerful, but he fights too clean to be the most powerful.. I would go with Hulk as far as pure power.. I don't think anyone is stronger than him, because when you knowck him down he just gets back up even stronger.. Hulk FTW!

and i have to say the most powerful would be, thor, or green lantern.  hulk is not the most powerful, because if you hit him with gamma rays he turns back into bruce banner.
oh i thought of who the most powerful is. "Galactus" not the one from the movie, the one from the books. the fantastic four and silver surfer lost big time to him.
Title: Re: are there any marvel/Dc fans?
Post by: xMr. Lemon Headx on June 12, 2010, 12:09:07 AM
Hulk has defeated Thor before.. Does Green Lantern have gamma rays, no! Who does? In the comics Hulk now has a a type of formula that basically makes him immune to gamma rays. In the old story lines he was effected by gamma rays. And Galactus isn't a hero!

I am a BIG fan of Superheroes. Let me give ya the rundown of my faves:

5. Iron Man
4. Krypto (Don't ask me why.)
3. Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes)
2. Batman
1. Spider-Man

And it's kinda hard to believe I'm a bigger Marvel fan than a DC fan. I really like Deadpool too! (One of my favorite quotes is from Deadpool: Dark Reign:"*Cough* *Cough* Shot through the heart......*Cough* *Cough* and you're to blame, darlin' YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME!" And then he started making electric guitar sounds.) I did just get the Heroclix Blackest Night set earlier this week. It's awesome!

I already stated that Superman is probably the strongest.. He simply fights too clean at times, doesn't bring out all his power. But remember he is SUPER! Besides Superman, Hulk is hand down the most powerful..

Mister Mxyzptlk (Superman #30, September 1944) An imp from the fifth dimension, Mr. Mxyzptlk possesses nigh-limitless reality-bending powers, which he often uses to pose challenges to Superman for his own amusement. His only weakness is saying his name backwards, in which case he goes back to his own dimension only to return at his own leisure.

I am talking about strength.. I thought that's what we were all talking about. Take the "kryptonite rings" away from Batman and tell me if Batman would be dead after one punch from Superman. I truly hope no one says he would survive. He is a normal human being people!

To Da Muzik Maker: Are you serious? You said Batman never comes close to dying in his movies? Umm have you watched them? And who is he fighting, oh that's right, villains with NO powers.. Who does Superman fight? Yeah think about that for a minute bud.

So you'd hire an assassin and find enough or a REALLY rare substance from another planet to make a bullet for him.  To shoot a target that is usually moving around the speed of light...

vs. hiring an assasin with any normal bullet to kill Batman.  To shoot a target that is usually just moving around at slightly faster than normal human speed...

Think for a minute which is harder to do.

You mean Batman vs a guy pumped up on radioactive drugs that make him super strong? Oh, Wait you meant hulk, not bane.

And as for no powers. Lets look at the two main villains of each franchise.

Superman - Lex Luthor
Lex: An egotistical villain set on killing superman and ruling the world, like any good villain. Powers: Absolutely NONE.

Batman - Joker
Joker: An egotistical lunatic set on killing batman and making chaos, like any good villain.
Powers: Absolutely NONE.

actually there was a crossover that had batman V.S. hulk. and batman put him to sleep with gass the first time and the second time they fought hulk took down a parking garage ontop of batman and batman dove under a cross beem to save himself.

You could think of Batman as simply someone who makes a LOT of citizen's arrests.  And those are legal :)

Concealed weapons are legal with a permit.  You could argue that most of Batman's assaults are self-defense, or at the most are just the amount of force necessary to detain, which is also legal, right?

Batman is one of the most awesome "superheroes" ever, mainly for the fact that he isn't a cut and dry hero, and he's in no way super.

I've never seen batman use JUST enough to detain, especially on thugs. Dangling off a high rise for information isn't exactly heroic.

Are you kidding?  People pay good money to go bungee jumping, and he provides that kind of entertainment for free out of the kindness of his heart.  The thugs are so full of gratitude that they are more than happy to share where their bosses secret hideout is :)

According to my research, Moon Knight is a dumb Marvel version of Batman with a few twists involving werewolves and an Egyptian moon god or something like that.

Uh, no. Copying a brand name cereal and selling it for less money can be a good business move, but copying your arch rival's best ideas is not a very good business move at all IMHO. Marvel should have stuck with their regular cheesy heroey stuff which was already successful enough and kept their pride instead of trying to copy DC's most profitable character.
