Minnesota

The persisting Rumor is TN...with some offshoot talk of Florida/Georgia.  I wasn't at Nationals (or have any authority whatsoever) so my word is not gold, but judging from the time lapse since the big tournament has been in the SE then this may have legs.  So I tend to "believe" the rumors because of "where there's smoke, there's fire."

California West Minnesota isn't going to get it again.

I hear Rochester, NY's making a bid.

If this is not a joke, then I LOVE the idea.  If Rob seriously considers it, then I will help you plan Randall.

My only issue with Rochester (though it's certainly best for me - only a 5 hour drive), is that we just had a Natz in Boston, which is right there. Something like Tennessee or even Georgia makes more sense, to help spread the love around. If it is in Georgia, please make it in Atlanta. I have family there. =)

If its in the Southeast my vote is either Tallahassee or Gainesville. However Rochester, NY is where it's at.

Rochester is a great idea, I hear there is an airport near hotels and christian college. Perfect for transportation, location, and lodging. I also would be able to get there without riding in the back of a cop car.

Not a joke, I'm seriously considering it.  Roy and the other NE John like it too.  Now to convince Rob.

Throwing this out there, but when I was in Rochester Sept 24...I stopped by Millennium Games and they have heard of Redemption.  Additionally, they are open to the idea of having tournaments there (as long as it doesn't interfere with their larger Magic tournaments).  That could be a big venue if you struggle with a spot at Roberts.  Just a thought if this continues to gain momentum.

We may or may not frequent Millenium  ::) but they already knew of it before we got there, the guy actually couldn't believe the game was still around.

There's always talk of Georgia and Florida.

Tennessee gets my bid (if not MN again...). It's still southern, it's still eastern, and I may be going to college there next year...

I could seriously get behind Nats in Rochester, NY.

Ring Wraith brings up a valid point. So, with that in mind, I'm now rooting for New Haven CT after I get my full scholarship to yale.

Nope, only growing here.  The college supports it, we've got space, and Brenda Myrthil (the person in charge of student organizations) loves it.

She should put the "R" in her last name after the "TH". That'd be solid.

Orlando, Florida. 2012. It makes sense. You could go and play Redemption, and then go to Disney World for a Vacation :D (Or whatever theme park suits you best )

I think that nats should be in the same place it was last year. We had lots of space, and we had type S and other places you do not. so MN gets my vote!

We can't have nats in the same place every year though, it's a moving tournament. Like the super bowl....

We should though. I could get every one in my play group to vote for it!

And everyone not in your playgroup would probably vote against it. Moving the tournament every year gives more people the opportunity to go. I couldn't afford to go to Minnesota this year but if it were held in Rochester, NY I could practically walk to the tournament. Players in Florida might not be able to go to Minn. or NY. so let them host it one year. Does it need to hit every state? no. but moving the region every year gives a wider range of players the chance to participate and that's good for the game.

I'm fairly sure that Nameless forgot to put a winky face in his posts.

That being said, I'm pretty sure I could get all of my playgroup to vote for it to be in the same place it was last year every year as well.  ;D

Well, then, it's a good thing this isn't decided by popular vote.

You guys in South Florida will have to put in the ante, then. I can secure the church now that they have an extension for the lease. But YMT has no money, and won't have any anytime soon.  :'(

To be fair, it's much better to go on vacation to Florida than to California. (No offense.)

The only thing that's ever known for sure the day after Nationals with respect to where the next Nationals will be is that it won't be in the northwest.  ;)
