Title: Announcement about the future of Three Lions Gaming!
Post by: uthminister [BR] on March 02, 2015, 11:02:19 AM
I am happy to announce that TLG will be changing hands and I will become the third owner. I will be relaunching the threelionsgaming.com website shortly thereafter and will be introducing some new and exciting opportunities to experience the game of Redemption (perhaps you have already seen the playmat offering for next year's tournament season). We will still be offering the same quality products along with an every evolving singles card purchasing interface that will make it easier to find what you are looking for. I am excited about this new era of my life and in the life of TLG.

Congrates travis!
Will you be updating the old website or be making a completely new one?

Congrats.

We had talked about it ages ago but nothing concrete until now. I will be using the old website for a very short period of time before launching a whole new site that I have been working on for what seems like a year. I am so excited about the stuff we will be offering in the very near future. This is why we really want to host Nats this year so we can roll out our new tournament program, etc.

I'm excited about this. No doubt you can help the game move in a positive direction!

The more user friendly the website, the more new players will get involved with competitvie cards!

Congrats, Travis! We'll miss you, Ken - you did a great job. Question: will the card price lists continue as they have in the past, with Travis now doing them? On your old site (GemCity), Travis, cards were being sold for about 1/2 of TLG's prices...so will the new TLG's card values be the current ones or will they all be reduced? I think that this (the card values) is a very important part of the game, as it affects many areas.

Thanks,

Jesse

The price guide will be up and running on the new site with prices being more like Gem City prices than the old TLG prices. Lots of things will be more affordable now once they are switched over. As a matter of fact I just finished the pdf version of the list a few minutes ago. As far as tournaments go, we will be offering several different levels of play with some tweaks to the rules at our events that will serve as a proving grounds for the rules in Official Cactus Tournaments in the future. I had Rob look over my plans and he was willing to give his blessing under the guise that our tournaments are clearly differentiated between the Cactus only tournaments. More on those tweaks to come later.

Hopefully one of the "tweaks" will be cube draft as an "official" category.

Congratulations!  ;D

We'll miss Ken, but we also missed Doug. It just comes with the territory.  ;)

Wow! How about that! Who would have thought the website I put up back in 1997 would still be going? I don't know how our when it happened, but somewhere along the line the TLG website grew into an important resource and one of the foundation stones of the Redemption Community. I am not sure what the Redemption community would look like without it.

I was very glad when Ken bought it from me. I knew he would continue the tradition of the site, serving the community with excellent service, a good product and the stability the game needs. I was glad to see Ken make such a good run with it.

Now I am glad to see the site continue and wish Travis all the best.

Doug

I'm sad to see Ken go, but I trust it's in good hands. I wish you the best of luck!

I am confident that Three Lions Gaming will continue to be an important part of the Redemption community, just as it was with Doug and for the past seven years that I have owned it. With our 3rd kid here, I have been short on time to spend with my family, and this is a perfect chance for me to pass the baton and give me more time with them. :) Thanks for all the support over the years!

Of course, I will remain part of the message board community, as well as keeping open the possibility of hosting again when things are more calm for us.

Ken,

We'll miss you, but glad that you aren't leaving the community all together.

Travis,

Congrats
