To start, I want to make something clear.
This topic isn't meant to start a flame war, or to get anyone upset. I wouldn't want this forum that I was so attached to (which I'm glad God allowed me to play Redemption in the first place, and eventually meet you guys) to fall apart at the seams over a specific argument.
I just want to know: Why were some topics removed? The ones I'm thinking of are "Ponies" and "Dreams." Were they deleted because of spam? If so, they didn't deserve it. I don't think they were spam at all. They were in their appropriate areas of the board and (to my knowledge) never got out of hand. Can one of you guys explain why they were removed? I'm just baffled.

Ponies was removed (incorrectly in my opinion) because of the inappropriate actions of someone in it. I don't know what happened to it afterwards, but the last I saw of the Dreams thread it wasn't deleted, just moved to Open Discussion (if it was eventually deleted, I wouldn't know because I am not currently in Open Discussion).

I know that the Ponies thread was shut down because of very inappropriate posting. You are speaking only from what you saw earlier in the thread, rather than what preceeded the closure. The decision to quarantine the thread had nothing to do with Ponies and everything to do with profanity.

Which is why I'm of the opinion that the entire thread should not have been quarantined, but rather just the offending posts. If the mods decided that the topic was only going to incite more offending posts because of the way people in that thread were acting, I guess I can respect that decision, but I maintain my view that it should not have been quarantined.

I think that if the Hatfield and McCoys are going to get started, then there is no good reason to keep the thread.

Oh. I understand completely. If a mod will go ahead and close this thread, I'd appreciate it.
