How much are 2nd edition starter decks (opened or unopened) going for nowadays? I noticed that Three Lions doesn't have them in stock anymore.
-
They're not there cause they aren't in stock anymore. You'd have to ask specific people if they still have any.
-
I know that. What I meant was, what is their current sell value, like on eBay or these boards? I was hoping someone might post saying that they recently sold one for X-dollars (or something like that), so I get a feel for the market.
-
Last I heard they go for around 25 bucks
I love those, my first set ;D
-
I doubt they would go that high on eBay. You might expect closer to $15. Most of the good cards have been reprinted so the allure has dropped.

but, people sure will pay for nostalgia and a piece of history. ::)

Copy. I love my 2nd edition SOG, even if I can get basically the same card in a re-print. I know it's vintage :]

I don't disagree, but trying to get people to pay for nostalgia during a recession is the trick.

About $25 for the 2nd Print of the C/D and $15-$20 for the 1st Print.

Is there a way to tell the difference between the printings without opening the box?

Yes on the back of the second printing it shows Goshen and I think Kingdoms with the Fort symbol and note that this is the only way to get Goshen still. And the First printing shows some cards but with the wrong border colors such as it shows swift horses with a gold border when it really has a blue border.
-
shouldn't first print be more expensive, as it's slightly rarer?

It should be but the second printing is worth more mostly cause there used to be 4 or 5 cards that you could find no where else. Holy of Holies CBN, Goshen with Fort, Kingdoms with Fort, Swift Ponys, and Search. Though now the only card that cant be found is Goshen.... So maybe the price might be a little diffrent...

Whaaa!??!!!??!!?!!!?? we aren't out of it yet? California started the trend, like a year before everyone else jumped on the bandwagon. I just figured things were back to normal now. ::)
