Wall of Protection
If an opponent targets your card in your territory, you may draw 1 instead. May be used 4 times. Cannot be negated
This card needs a reprint. I like this because it makes it optional (because Goliath), is more versatile (protects forts/sites/cities as a wall would too), and lets you draw. May be used 4 times because 4 gives you plenty of uses while still being not so many that its too hard for your opponent to use up, and walls usually have 4 sides. I could see support cards for this that reset the uses of it and/or search for it from deck/discard. Would still be an UR or at least a rare, and would keep the same verse. Thoughts?

I really like it. Good alternative to give protection without using a protect ability.
The wording might have to change.. Guardian of Your Souls RoJ used to say if an evil card "targets" a lost soul you could instead but for some reason targeting being able to be insteaded was determined to be bad I think because instead modifies abilities but maybe not actual targeting?

I agree that Wall could definitely use an updated version. However, I think I prefer something closer to the original ability--perhaps "protect characters in your territory from opponents' band abilities." (This would also keep Goliath from being a problem.)
Since that ability is pretty short, there might also be the possibility of adding something else like "protect good fortresses in territory from opponents" (similar to Caesarea Phillipi and NT Sites) or "if opponent uses a choose opponent ability, you may add a character from territory to battle" (similar to The Darkness).

Honestly I probably wouldn't use a card that just protects from band abilities with all the other good cards there are out there anymore. I like that it can stop just about any kind of territory destruction but it is still limited. maybe make it so that it cant instead itself and change the wording (I'm no wordsmith)

The only thing I take issue with here is the verse. Can it please be a nehemiah verse? that would be so much cooler! And it gives Zerubbabel a bit more use. otherwise, I love it! Totally needs a reprint, and this seems like a pretty good starting point.

Would be nice if wall stopped exchanges/stealing character cards like Stalks of Flax, Nicolation’s Teaching etc also.

Is there a way to word it to protect Heroes in territory from opponents' taking control of them?

Twelve Gates protects Heroes in your territory from opponents, which includes taking control.

Twelve Gates says "protect heroes in territory from Evil cards". So this doesn't stop your opponent from stealing your characters with a good card or a neutral card or even banding Your Heroes/evil characters into battle.

How does 12 gates work with Goliath? The main reason I want a Wall reprint is so that it can work with Goliath (by that I mean it doesn't turn Goliath into a auto-win for your opponent). The version I posted is a may ability and it works whenever they target your cards, so it works with Goliath, stops all chose the blocker/attacker, stops character exchanges against you, stops all banding, and stops any territory destruction. It does everything, but is limited to 4 uses so you have to be strategic in how to use it. It isn't a protect so it gets around R&D too. If I won a category at Nationals, this would the card I would make (of course they started making player created cards the year after I won T1-2P at nationals...)

‘Characters in territory are protected from Band, Exchange, and Take abilities used by an opponent.’
