Perhaps have Jupiter's numbers somehow tied to the zodiac signs or the planets?  But having a big number like 12 seems appropriate for Jupiter (Zeus), as he is allegedly the leader of the (false) roman gods.

I think Jupiter should just negate. Not negate/Discard.

After we print Jupiter, we could print the same verse, card, and ability(slightly changing Roman Emperor to Greek King) for Zeus, just change him to black/orange, remove the Roman identifier, and add a Greek identifier. Irony? I think so.

Colosseum is awesome.  How do the demons get the Roman identifier though.  Is that just showing they're Roman false gods, or actually real Romans as far as the game rules go?

Romans don't really need a boost. Why not focus on the cool stuff, like Syrians and Tabernacle priests? ;D

I disagree about Romans not needing a boost. Right now, they just lose if they don't have Namaan's Ride. But I have done Tabernacle Priests already and am going to do Syrians, along with a lot of other themes.

Mercury can exchange for a "card"? So if he blocks alone and swaps for an enhancement, you effectively shoot yourself in the foot for that block?

That's correct, unless he was banded into battle. Fallen Angel->Mercury->Deafening Spirit is one possible play.

Menander also, one who translated the Tyrian archives out of the dialect of the Phoenicians into the Greek language, makes mention of these two kings, where he says thus: "When Abibalus was dead,. his son Hiram received the kingdom from him, who, when he had lived fifty-three years, reigned thirty-four. He raised a bank in the large place, and dedicated the golden pillar which is in Jupiter's temple.

Josephus
Antiquities of the Jews 8.5.3 v.144-145

Evil Fortress

Zeus's (Jupiter's) Temple
Identifier: Pagan Temple; may hold one artifact depicting an idol.

During your upkeep you may return a black Daniel reference enhancement from your discard pile to an opponent's territory.  If you draw a card from a special ability controlled by an opponent, that player must draw a card.  Greek & Roman evil characters cannot be ignored or shuffled into draw pile by an opponent.

another Josephus reference that can be used:

Now, that this may not depend on my bare word, I will produce for a witness Dius, one that is believed to have written the Phoenician History after an accurate manner. This Dius, therefore, writes thus, in his Histories of the Phoenicians: "Upon the death of Abibalus, his son Hirom took the kingdom. This king raised banks at the eastern parts of the city, and enlarged it; he also joined the temple of Jupiter Olympius, which stood before in an island by itself, to the city, by raising a causeway between them, and adorned that temple with donations of gold. He moreover went up to Libanus, and had timber cut down for the building of temples.

The only time it will have contents is when there is a battle happening inside it via its special ability, so when that battle is taking place the characters fighting can hurt each other/themselves but no other cards.

That's not entirely accurate, they are similar, and many aspects of Jupiter were taken from Zeus, but they are different, I just can't remember how at the moment.  But the idea that the Romans just took the Greek gods and changed there names isn't true, they took the Greek gods and added them to their already existing gods to get something new.

Are Pugio and Gladius Weapon Class Enhancements? U have to define if there Characters or Weapons.

Just as Pugio is the Latin name for a type of Dagger and Scutum is the word for shield :P
