The special ability votes are in and our card is really starting to take shape! Now it's time to vote on the scripture verse. Unlike other recent votes, this one will only last for 4 days so get your vote in now!
It's time that we collect suggestions for the card art. Please only make suggestions that are available in the public domain. Feel free to show or link your suggestion below.
Option #1Ezekiel 3:17 - "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me."
It was on the original card, and it fits. Excellent verse for a Hero representative of the O.T. prophets.
Option #2Hosea 9:8 "The prophet, along with my God, is the watchman over Ephraim, yet snares await him on all his paths, and hostility in the house of his God."
This and Ezekiel 3:16-17 are the clearest statements I could find re: the purpose of the watchman.
Option #3John 10:3 "The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice."
I don't know enough of the game meta right now, but this would be one of the best new testament representations of the watchman.
What is this about? (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/new-card-ideas/player-created-card/)

if it ties with one of the OT verses and the NT one, can we have another dual testament card?

Better yet, could we just have an actual option in the Poll for a dual-testament reference? Because I'd totally straight up vote for that option.
-
Dual testament cards have a N.T. Scripture that is quoting an O.T. Passage, hence the scripture is found in both the O.T. and the N.T. I don't think we have a qualifying submission for this card do we?
-
I was thinking more along the lines of Philosophy where there are mentions in both testaments, as opposed to straight-up N.T.-quoting-O.T.

Both J.J Tissot and Public Domain
For both pictures I suggest just using the figure on the left.

I wish there were options to choose from among Ezekiel references since I don't see how it can be any other book regardless of specific passage.
-
I'm posting the original art as another option as well. The more the better.

yeah i dig the starry night vibes on the original :)
-
I'm way late to the party, but is this a metaphorical prophetic watchmen only or is he going to be warrior class as a literal watchmen?
-
I believe more along the lines of the metaphorical prophet watchman.
-
I think both

Here's my pick:

@Dermo - Love it! Perfect choice!

Both MasterQ's and Dermo's suggestions are beautiful pieces but they are not public domain and cannot be legally used if this card were to ever to go print.
