The votes are in and our Hero "The Watchman" will be in the green brigade! That's probably no surprise since he's representative of a prophet.
This week we're going to vote on the special ability! Suggestions were sent to me via private message last week. Please use the corresponding number below when casting your vote.
***Next week we will vote on the scripture reference. Please post your suggestion below. If you given a suggestion in the past it has not been tracked. In order to be counted it must be posted below.
Your post should look something like this:

Explanation of why I think this verse should be used.
Now for the special abilities!
Option #1
Protect lost souls and Heroes in territory from evil cards. You may underdeck a curse to draw 2. Cannot be negated.
Option #2
Warrior Class, Generic Prophet
You may draw a card. once blocked, if there is more than one evil character in battle, you may search deck for up to two human heroes and band them into battle. Special ability may be used once per game. Cannot be negated.
Option #3
Territory Class
When opponent plays an Evil Character from hand, draw a card. When Ezekiel enters battle reveal the top or bottom card of Deck, if it is a good ezekiel card, add it to hand.
Option #4
Protect your O.T. Heroes from discard abilities on opponent's cards. Reveal a good dominant in your hand to discard an opponent's Evil Character. Cannot be prevented.
Option #5
Negate Confusion. Protect Lost Souls from shuffle. You may exchange this Hero with an O.T. green prophet sharing a name with a biblical book in territory, deck, or discard pile: If it is Ezekiel, reveal a hand.
Option #6
Warrior-Class & Territorial Class
Set The Watchman in set-aside. Each time a Human Prophet you control enters battle, set aside target Human Evil Character for as long as The Watchman is set-aside.
Option #7
You may reveal your hand to reveal all hands. If you do reveal all hands, you may choose an evil character from opponent's territory to block or exchange this hero with a prophet to draw up to x (limit 3).
Option #8
Territory class
First strike. Protect heroes and good fortresses in your territory from opponent's evil cards. While in battle, protect heroes from the special ability on the first evil enhancement played. May band to a green brigade prophet and/or red warrior class hero. Cannot be interrupted.
Option #9
territory class
If an opponents plays a card which targets any of your cards, you may discard one of their cards randomly from deck, hand, or a card in their territory.
Option #10
Territory class
Once per turn, if your green prophet would be harmed, you may discard a good card from hand instead. May band to Ezekiel. Cannot be negated.

Would #5 be able to grab Samuel? I would assume it could. Seems really good...almost too good.

If you're grabbing Sam you might as well use AUTO and get a draw 2 out of it. I like option 5 a lot because it gives the lesser played prophets a boost, provides a counter to one of the top defenses right now, and fits thematically to boot.

A new option was added because I overlooked a submission when I was creating the poll.
I'd also like to note that these abilities are posted exactly as submitted. Not tweaking or correcting to wording or power levels. That can/will happen later.

I am really torn between options #5 and #7. Both have some really strong points gunning for them.
Option #5 negates one of the most powerful and game changing cards in the meta, protects souls from shuffle and then puts a different prophet in battle to reek even more havoc, as well as conditional hand knowledge.
Whereas option #7 provides everyone with equal hand knowledge in exchange for ctb or auto like exchange and draw. (though it doesn't say what x is meant to be).
Do you see my dilemma??

I quite like #7, but would hand protection stop the reveal? Would stopping the reveal stop the CTB/exchange and draw?

I forgot to do the scripture post, as everyone has. Got to follow protocol. :police:
Here it is, to no surprise:
Ezekiel 3:17 - "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me."
It was on the original card, and it fits. Excellent verse for a Hero representative of the O.T. prophets.

Hosea 9:8 "The prophet, along with my God, is the watchman over Ephraim, yet snares await him on all his paths, and hostility in the house of his God."
This and Ezekiel 3:16-17 are the clearest statements I could find re: the purpose of the watchman.
John 10:3 "The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice."
I don't know enough of the game meta right now, but this would be one of the best new testament representations of the watchman.
