Title: The Golden Cherubim
Post by: stefferweffer on August 17, 2010, 02:06:32 PM
Artifact (Found in Solomon's Temple)

If all of your heroes are OT humans, and none of your OT heroes have been converted to an evil character, then your good banding cards cannot be negated or ignored.  May be used twice per game.

"For the cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim made a covering over the ark and its poles from above." 1 Kings 8:7

(Trying to recreate the united Kingdom of Israel on the day that Solomon dedicated the temple.  There was a unity in purpose and in devotion among all 12 tribes that never came again.  Though one might occasionally falter, the group as a whole was not going to be distracted by evil until, sadly, Solomon himself went astray.)

I've never seen flee from enimies in a deck, I don't understand.

This card is an example of how to make an underpowered card, Smokey.

They cannot be prevented or negated by Confusion of Mind, Golden Calf, Household Idols, etc.  Individual heroes may still be affected by enhancements, Complainers, Sapphira, KOT, etc.

It also helps banding chains get around Golden Calf and Confusion of Mind...but not Household Idols in most cases (since the banding heroes are ignored).

Only if you are looking at artifacts as needing to be diverse enough to go into any deck.  For my Red Banding Warriors and FBTN Banding decks (both from around this time period), this artifact would be a staple.  It is also another Solomon's Temple artifact.

I might use it in a banding deck, but there are usually better ways to get around those few Artifacts...probably needs more oomph to make it usable.

The best way to give it more "oomph" would be to take away the "artifact" portion, but would this make it TOO powerful?

Now that you have edited to include ignore, it is at least a little playable.

Except it's worded incorrectly: It would have to say good banding cards. HHI would ignore a banding Hero even if the ability couldn't be ignored.

I would take away the Artifact portion but then give it a limit (say twice per game like Holy Grail).

Done.  Thanks for your help.

No problem. I would definitely use this in a banding deck.

"Cannot be negated, prevented" is redundant. CBN means it cannot be interrupted of prevented. You need to remove one of those. It's a bit weak still in my opinion, but I guess it works :)
