I like the cost-benefit idea, but Philistines are so easily recursive (Outpost and Armor Bearer) that it's not exactly a one-shot block.
Still, I like the concept (both of the ability and the character).

Yeah! This is one of the cards I was hoping for - great job! I think the special ability should tie in the fact that he is Goliath & bros' dad- maybe he could search one of them out or give them protection while he is in play, something like that. Also, in the identifier line, (i know there's no more room) but he's also the dad of The 12-Fingered Giant. All those guys were brothers: The Twelve-Fingered Giant, Saph, Lahmi, Ishbibenob, and Goliath. Also, the verse is wrong - 2 Samuel 20:22 is a different verse than the one listed. I think it should be 2 Samuel 21:20-22. Finally, I think his name should just be "The Giant". The KJV, NKJV, and NASB all just call him "The Giant", and I think it's way cooler to be just "The Giant" - it sounds epic and would be fun to run The Giant with Philistines! :)

You could have his ability be, "Remove this card from the game after battle to discard a hero."

In T2 where you can have 4 Phillistine Armourbearer this would be way OP.

Upon further reading it appears that Rapha was not Goliath's father, he was Goliath and bros' ancestor

I think we are reading different translations. I see that the NIV and some other translations state Goliath's brothers were "descendants" of "Rapha/the giants". I have been using KJV, in which it says directly in 2 Samuel 21:18 that Goliath's brothers were "sons" of "the giant", and verse 22 says, "These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants." The parallel passage in 1 Chronicles 20 also states that Goliath's brothers were "born to the giant" (verse 8 ).
Looking at the Hebrew, the word used is nūl·lə·ḏū, which has 2 uses in the O.T. (http://biblehub.com/hebrew/nulledu_3205.htm) - one being the 1 Chr. 20:8 and the other 1 Chr. 3:5, a passage in which David's sons are listed, and all the translations use the word "born". So I do think that "born" is the correct translation - Goliath, Saph, Ishbibenob, Lahmi, and the 12-Fingered Giant were all sons of The Giant.
Doesn't Redemption usually base their cards off of the KJV, anyway?
