Angles need a bost...
Good fort
Protect angles from capture conversoin and removal from the game.
I think it will give angles the boost they need...
Over powered? Probably but angles need a bost.

Angles need a bost...
Angles definitely don't need a boost, they are already right!
-
I haven't sean many viable angle statageis other than fbnt.

Hm, do I delete that reply for being off-topic, or make a joke about his observation being acute?
I personally think the card would be too strong, but then again everything is too strong nowadays.

I know you are mobile, but your spelling is atrocious. :P

If you boost an angle, it is more likely to become obtuse.

Don't underestimate Sean. He can make a viable strategy out of any brigade archetype.

How about angels win the game. GG! Sorry but this is more than a bit overpowered. Combine this with chamber of angels and all you've made is FBTN even MORE dominant in silver. Recurable, protected, TSA/COTH. Angels are already VERY viable just not very organized. I think they symbolize the old way to play more than anything else.
-
However, they are not a typical standalone without FBTN, which is what I think acree was getting at. The angels seem to be more useful in modern decks as additions to prophets, Genesis, or TGT heroes.
-
The goal is to make angles as if not more powerfull than tgt.
-
What kind of bost for angles do you sujest? They need something.
-
ok for sakes spell it right angels
-
I think Angels are the most under-played viable single color choice. I think the last couple sets have made them a force to be reckoned with. I'll try to list the first reasons that come to mind:
1) Site access? They have 3 heroes with access to any site.
2) FBTN heroes? They have the two best in the game.
3) Weapon class? They have two or 3 of the best weapons in the game.
4) Cannot be negated? One word - Michael. Go ahead and let them Martyr Michael. Here comes Strong Angel or COTH on the next rescue attempt...
5) Initiative? Angel's Sword, Swift beings, Angel at Jerusalem, Angel at Shur, Angel with the Secret Name (early game), Striking Herod, etc. Use Covenant of Noah if you want another good negate card.
6) Retrieving from discard? Heal (Brass Serpent), Chariot of Fire, Chamber of Angels, Name of the Lord, Everlasting Beings
7) Deck manipulation? (Yours and opponents) - Gabriel, Angel of the Harvest, Angel of Warning (TxP), Attending Angel (TxP) and others I'm not thinking of right now.
8 - Speed? Not much, but a couple Angels let you draw a card when they make a battle challenege and/or rescue attempt.
9) Battle winners? Plenty, especially against humans, but there are at least 3 that will target a demon too. If Demons bother you - Three Nails (or Coat of Many Colors + A Child is born)
10) Immunity to many things that most humans don't enjoy? Yep! Immune to Unholy Writ, Red Dragon, many capture cards, most evil convert cards that I have seen.
In short, I already find Angels to be Awesome! Just one opinion out of many though :)

Please point me to a angle deck deck other than captain band deck that has won a few major tourneys.
-
I don't have access to all 5 of the different decks that have won major tourneys...
Sorry, had to throw a little sarcasm in there. Someone should be able to link you to a winning angels deck. My Angels/Assyrians casual deck is good, but it has not seen tournament play.
-
Angels don't need that much protection. A lot of capture already targets humans only and they already have ways to protect from capture. I think the last thing we need is for every brigade to have a Fortress that says, "Protect Characters from this brigade from everything that hurts."
Don't underestimate Sean. He can make a viable strategy out of any brigade archetype.
Thanks! ;D

Why would a mono silver offense not use Captain of the Host? That's just silly.
-
As Sean said, capture is not a big deal for angels already, there is only one card that converts angels and no one uses it, and there are only three commonly used evil enhancements that remove heroes from the game (and they are of different brigades).
I say this is certainly not OP, but it's too boring, and angels already have a fort, so I don't think it needs to be made.
-
Then what will give angles the ability to be just as used a tgt.
-
For Players to Decide to use them?
-
ANGELS A N G E L S SPELL IT RIGHT
-
Personally, I don't want to see another strategy FEEL as if they have to be as used as Garden Tomb Decks....before Garden Tomb was Zeb's Temple decks...find a game mechanic you like and create a deck from it...
-
There is a reason I refuse to use ZT and TGT... I don't want to play like everyone else. I try to play different, and it can catch people off guard.
So, I don't see why angels can't be good as they are right now.
-
Angels don't need more protection, they have chamber, BTN and they already can't be targeted by anything that targets humans. They have some of the best characters (Micheal, Gabriel, Captain, Strong Angel) a good chunk of them are new testament, I don't think site access is a problem (use The Ends of the Earth) and you have a few site access characters (including a 2/2). They have good enhancements (a little limited maybe) but good (including interrupt and discard). They have Angels Sword (may have lost a bit of power to the 2Khorses weapons, but still fairly effective). The Destroyer. Banding (both gathering of angels and Army of the LORD).
The only thing lacking in Silver is... I can't think of anything right now.
-
Just use Fourth Living Creature and Covenant with Eden.
-
don't forget destroyer angel

I agree that you have a solid offense there, but 23 cards is pretty hefty for a balanced deck.
-
yeah i know ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

And adding BLAM at the end is pretty hefty for a balanced post.

I know this is the second plug in in one day... but this HAS to go into the best quote forums... what a bunch of puns!

CotH & TSA are complementary angles. If you add them to your deck, your offense will do a 180.

If they are complementary, then they are right. If they do a 180, then they are supplementary. ;)
