Its a dominant and if you don't rescue a different lost soul it gets discarded, but if you do you win an extra soul

Given the amount of play Jacob's Ladder sees (especially in T2), why should this exist?

Because it isn't Jacob's Ladder at all. He's saying that if you rescue a soul while the soul that has been set-aside by this card is still set-aside, you rescue both souls.

For the record, I really don't like the card. Much, much too overpowered.

Ah, I see that now.  Sure, let's add another SoG to the game.

More like an SOG/Burial. You wouldn't have access to that lost soul so you would have to have access to a different soul. And if you are unsuccessful it gets discarded.

Ah, yes, those qualifiers change my opinion immensely.  Not to mention I can use this, SoG/NJ, AotL whoever's blocking, and I'm up 4.

Let me add a change to that ability.  :)

AOTL rarely results in a successful RA anymore

"By a hero" works a lot better.  And don't double post.

It's still immensely powerful.

That's why its a dominant =) but it has down sides to it too. 1. the lost soul can't be accessed but its ability is active. 2. You fail, it gets discarded. So if they have sites and they have burial and they use SOG/NJ. It could result in only 3 LS available for your rescue and could create site lock if you aren't prepared for site access.

That was true last season. This season, AotL is usually a win again.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I would not like to see any abilities on any cards that rescue lost souls ever again, especially on doms.

My take would be:

The Third Seal
Silver/Orange 3/3 enhancement
X= # of cards discarded from hand

"If you have 2 or fewer redeemed souls, discard all cards from hand and remove Son of God in your discard pile from the game to negate and discard up to X cards from play, set-aside, or the top of a deck (put lost souls in play). Cannot be negated."

This seems long though; I guess someone else can think of a more 'balanced' or playable ability than I can right now :P

My :2cents: aside, yours is also creative, and I do enjoy creative cards!  :)

Thank you, I appreciate that!

The problem is you shouldn't ever be able to get 4 ls in a turn, that's just too much. If you do it first turn, there's a very good chance that your opponent won't have an ec, or if he does and you aotl, he can't win off of his opening eight.

If you made it so that you had to wait a turn or two to rescue, maybe but still I wouldn't want to see a dominant that rescues a soul.
As a national champion, I support ReyZen deck pouches.

The great thing though is that these are only theoretical cards so... just liked the concept.
