"If you have played no other cards this turn, remove this card from the game to restrict players from beginning battles or targeting/affecting their opponents' cards until your next upkeep."

Probably need to have it remove itself from the game after that one turn otherwise Gabriel is bringing it back at will.

Updated. It's a bit wordy now, though, but I'm not sure how to fix that.

Why is this a good card?
-
I came into this thread expecting: "Negate all cards involving spells."

Why is this a good card?
Because I don't like to encourage turtle decks, but sometimes everyone could use 1 round as a breathing room. :P

Hah! Sorry to burst your bubble. ;)

I forgot what I was expecting when coming into this thread.

You can simplify it to "no actions are to take place for a turn except drawing, etc"

I thought about that at first, but I didn't want to limit people from putting characters down, exchanging artifacts, etc and I think it would be longer to list the things they ARE allowed to do then the things they are NOT, haha.
-
then what about "no battle actions or anything related to battle actions are to take place"?

Well, battles are only part of what I was trying to restrict, the other being playing TC enhancements or using artifacts to mess with opponent's cards, even stopping the likes of Mayhem.

Perhaps "No player may take an action that targets an opponent's card."
This is making an assumption on my part, that beginning a rescue attempt targets the opponent's Lost Souls. Perhaps one would have to extend the logic that beginning a battle would result in targeting the soul, and so would not be allowed.
This would also stop certain artifacts, which may or may not be a good thing.

I like some of your idea and I've reworked the card again with that in mind.
Also, "upkeep" no longer looks like a real word.

This game needs less cards that remove your opponent from the game, not more.

It also removes you from the game for that turn....

~The silence between Malachi and Matthew
Antiochus IV, however, is free to rule the world! Just kidding of course!
I actually do kind of like the idea of "silence", but this could even be represented in Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I Am God..."
How about this rewording:
"If you have played no other cards this turn, remove this card from the game to restrict players from targeting other players' cards or initiating a battle until your next upkeep.
Dropping "Cannot be negated" shouldn't be a problem (you wont play it in battle, and DD/CwD simply restrict it).

Good point, you actually can't play this in battle and use the special ability anyway because, I believe, putting a Hero into battle is considered "playing" it.
Updated once again. Any other thoughts/suggestions?
