Title: Scorners
Post by: SEB on June 07, 2018, 04:47:40 PM
Spoiler (hover to show)

With all the cards that need Nationality-identifiers these days, I thought this could be an interesting Lost Soul.

For any cards that require or have variable based on a nationality. Like Assyrian Siege Army.

Ditto on "Love it".  Only change I'd make is to add "When this enters play" as an additional trigger that lets you choose a nationality.  No reason for this to be a no-SA-LS for its first round, it's definitely not overpowered

I agree on the "when enters play" for this. It's useful, but not strong enough to warrant a dead turn with it.

I guess I was thinking "draw step. draw the lost soul. move to upkeep. Use the ability." so, really, it's "dead" if drawn outside of draw step or put into play by some mechanic.

So:
"When 'Scorners' enters play or at your upkeep, choose a nationality. 'Scorners' gains that nationality identifier until your next upkeep."

Love it! The only thing I might change is the reference to something that is both NT and OT, because I'd love to play it in both types of decks.

Yep, and with Covet, Awake, Lawless, and all the draw abilities in the game right now, I'm guessing you'd see this hit play quite a bit outside the draw phase.

Personally I'd like it to have a Daniel Reference. It could get 2 more cards in my Daniel deck to actually be Daniel, but I could say  this about any Lost Soul.
