I ran across this card in Lackey and figured he needed a little updating. Not sure about the second half of his ability. Thoughts?

I like the whole ability, although I don't feel his ability needs to be TC. That's a bit OP.

You could add "if attacking" to the second part of the ability, that way it's not a battle winner.

That makes sense.

Make him a missionary (he went to Ireland, right?), take away Territory class, and he is good! Love it!

I like the TC class so the protect can extend there like Job. The second part of the ability should read if attacking. It would be cool to label him a missionary! If the elders agree to that. I wanted to put Ireland as his church identifier too lol.

Job's protect ability is from discard and capture, which is good but balanced protection. With Patrick being protected from three different kinds of characters and all abilities played on those characters and being TC is way too strong and unbalanced. I know the Irish are tough folks but not that tough lol.

The TC CBi protect is strong but I don't think it's too op. Evil priest are rarely in anyone's deck. I also rarely see pure animals defenses yet are some animals are splashed in a lot of decks. Magicians are the most common of the three and most dangerous in my opinion. I don't think the protection is too strong but I guess only testing will tell.

I don't think he should be a priest, as the current definition of priest is referring to the priests of the tabernacle and temples. Had to look it up to make sure, but according to the REG, he would not be a priest. However, I see no reason he shouldn't be a missionary.

From Wikipedia:
Quote
Saint Patrick was a fifth-century Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland.

Will this be in the next REG update? Along with an "Irish church" identifier?  :D

A bishop is a priest and I labeled him a priest because He is listed already in the REG as a priest.

Oops, sorry, i must have missed that in the REG. I still don't think he should be, but if he is in the REG, then it's the law!
