Well me and my friend Jerome (jmbeers) want to find a way to bring back these three heroes. We would reprint Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego with this special ability: "May Band to each other. Protected from discard abilities when an angel is in play. Along with the reprint, we thought of an enhancement called Nebuchadnezzar's Madness whose special ability is "If Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego are in your territory, capture a Babylonian King."
Now for some bible verses. Daniel 3:28. This is after Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego were thrown into the fiery furnace. "Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God."
I can't find the verse referring to Nebuchadnezzar's Madenss, but you get the point that this would altar the crimson defense. Please feel free to comment about this potential reprint. I would love to see this in a new expansion set!

Interesting idea. The three furnace guys could definitely use reprints, but I think a three Hero band with protection from discard would be a bit much though, and I think that they should each have their own abilities:
Shadrach (Hananiah)
5/7 White Hero
Protected from discard while an Angel is in play. May band to a Daniel Hero.
Meshach (Mishael)
5/7 White Hero
Immune to Evil Royalty and Warrior Class Evil Characters while an Angel is in play. May band to a Daniel Hero. Cannot be Interrupted.
Abednego (Azariah)
5/7 White Hero
Daniel Enhancements cannot be negated while an Angel is in play. May band to a Daniel Hero.
Angel in the Furnace
7/7 Silver Hero
While in play, if your Daniel Hero (except this one) is discarded from battle, you may add this Hero to battle to heal the discarded Hero. This Hero may use enhancements of any good brigade that has been in battle this turn. Cannot be Negated.

I don't think angel in the furnace would work as intended. Its special ability wouldn't activate because it wasn't in battle.

It would work if it was in battle at some point before, similar to Judas Iscariot or Esther.

I love these. Now this theme (and OT white in general) needs better enhancements.

Ironically, the current Abednego is actually better. I like Meshach, and Shadrach is ok. Angel in the Furnace is a great idea, but it seems like the wording could be a lot less complicated.

I agree, the original Abednego is better
I would not make them so reliant on Angels. Other than that, also put 'Immune to Babylonians' on Sadrach and put him to 'Protect Heroes from Discard Abilities while in play.'
Meshach is good.
