as she knew that she was very much given to the worship of the goddess Isis
Josephus, Antiquities Book 18, Chapter 3.4
Josephus writes long paragraphs, it was difficult to figure which text to quote. The name could be changed to Paulina the Isis Worshipper or follower, etc.
Isis was an Egyptain goddess of life & healing, the daughter of Geb. Consort & sister of Osiris, another Egyptain god and the mother of Horus, the sun god.

Josephus is used to reference characters who directly influenced the events in the NT or years of silence but are not directly named in the Bible. Are these people and places referenced indirectly in the NT?

So, I'm not really sure though that these SA's correlate with the cards. How would priests cause what's discarded to be kept? they usually burned things as sacrifices for the good. Maybe something like "discard up to 5 cards from the top of your deck to discard the same number of opponent's cards in opponents' territories except Lost Souls" or something like that or possibly a little more background on their story?

The special abilities are more to have synergy with eachother. I would say if you did want more info on their religion look into the references used.

Neither is LarryBoy or Darth Vader, but we've got a pretend card for them.
Paulina - Good, but I'd add the stipulation "anytime during battle" to the second part of her ability.
Temple of Isis - I don't like that it's a clone of HT. Make it a bit easier to instead, since it covers fewer characters.
Priests don't seem that useful, I don't see how you'd use ToI, and then band them in.
