The words "evil character" take up a lot of space on a card, any thought of coming up with a key word to replace it? Maybe villain, sinner, rebel, fallen, etc. something shorter, like hero is for good character?
-
I like "Villain"
-
Villain has been proposed.. evil character works fine imo
-
Keep Evil Character. I'm tired of all the space saving.
-
lots of cards reference removed from game and we replaced it with banish. no problem. with all the space saving that is going on in the game and how long evil character is and how much its used, it feel it will be replaced eventually
-
I’m thinking “Bad Guy.”
-
"Hooligan" ;D
-
"Hooligan" ;D
Ninny ?
Errata all cards with Evil Character to Ninny ;D
"You may search your deck for a Ninny"
-
"Baddie" 8)
"Banish a Baddie" has nice alliteration.
-
I've always liked Villain :)
-
I'd suggest "rapscallion" but that doesn't actually help the space much...
-
If we go with villain instead of saying "Convert a Hero" we could say "Hero is vilified". :rollin:

Blackguard--with a special bonus promo card awareded to those who demonstrate they can pronounce the word correctly.

I just looked up the pronunciation. Why. Why is it like that?
-
How about "Ne'er-do-well". Let's take it back to the 1700s!
-
I'd suggest "rapscallion" but that doesn't actually help the space much...
Or along those lines, "Scallywag" ;D
-
I would suggest "Scruffy Looking Nerd Herder" but not only does that not save space, it appears to refer to more of a scoundrel than an actual evil entity...
-
If we are to do Face Saving I for one would prefer Gabe's idea of just using an icon for Evil Character. An Icon saves much more space than a singular word would plus it would be easier for newer players to understand what it means.
We already have an Icon, which is conveniently already on all evil characters. Really we could replace almost all card type words by replacing them with their various icons. We're even already using them on cards with multiple types.

That idea has been discussed. A couple years ago, Gabe wrote an article for LoR called "Iconic" in which he gave some examples of cards that utilized icons and brigade boxes in place of the words. In the end, we decided to ease into the use of icons in special abilities which is why we only ended up using them to specify which ability activated when DA cards were played different ways.
