Title: Most wanted reprint?
Post by: Professoralstad on July 27, 2009, 06:19:47 PM
So, with all of this talk about reprinted Treasures from the Past, I was wondering what would be the reprint that everyone wishes would show up. Post your Most Wanted Reprint here. I'll go first:

Samuel 4/4 Green/Gold Hero
Identifiers: Judge, Prophet
SA: Look at one opponent's hand. Holder may exchange Samuel with a good King in deck, territory, or set-aside area. That King is protected from evil discard abilities this turn.

So, let me see some more ideas. Any current card is fair game, though reprints of cards from the earliest sets, especially ones that would go well with current deck strategies, are personally preferred.

Shamgar
9/6 Red Warrior Class Hero
If blocked by an OT human, negate special abilities on characters and Enhancements except this one.

i had a idea to make moses immune to egytians.

So would the rest of the card be the same? So it would be:

Moses, 8/8 Gold Hero
Identifiers: Prophet, Fought Earthly Battle
SA: Negate all special abilities on characters and enhancements except this one. Immune to Egyptians.

Or did you have a different SA in mind?

Eh, I don't really like that wording on shamgar. It still allows me to block with any of the horses, or The Jeering youths. I would say word it as follows:
Negate Special abilites on O.T. Evil characters and enhancements. doesn't accomplish quite the same thing but works better.

I'm surprised this thread has gone 5 replies without mentioning Goliath, the most often mentioned needed reprint in many's opinion.

I just think that Judges decks could see more use with a guy like Samuel. And he's versatile, so he could go well in a combo deck of Judges and Kings, Prophets and Kings, or just Judges/Prophets.

My biggest issue with Melchizedek was that he added more firepower to some already very powerful couple brigades, and that his protection is so widespread. I think Gold is getting there, but is still lacking something. And no Green doesn't really need help, but he was one of the most well known prophets, so I figured he should be both.

He could be overpowered, but I don't think everyone would use him. I don't know.

Well, there's already a thread in here with a nice-looking Goliath. But hey, if it's what you think we need, post him how you want him.

I would like all the disicples except John remade.  Peter would be
8/8 Red Brigade   Discard one demon in play. Search deck for another disicple and add to battle.

I will add more of them later but that's all I have for now.

Isaiah 7/8 Green
The first good enhancement played this battle can't be negated
You may play a card with an Isaiah reference

Elisha 7/5 Green
You may search deck for chariot of fire and activate it immediately.
It is protected form discard and can not be negated this turn.

Jeremiah
7/4 Green Hero
-Prophet-
"You may place this Hero in your Land of Bondage to cause two Evil Characters to fight each other. This does not count as a capture ability."

Live Coals
4/2 Green Good Enhancement
"You may exchange this Hero with a Prophet from your Draw Pile, Discard Pile, Hand, or territory. Hero is Protected from Discard this turn."

Truthfulness of Nathan
0/0 Green Good Enhancement
"Your Good Prophets Ignore Evil Kings this turn. Draw a card."

John the Baptist
8/2 Green Hero
-Prophet-
"You may reveal Son of God from your hand to either search opponent's deck for a Lost Soul and place in his Land of Bondage, or Convert an N.T. Evil Character in play regardless of protection."

I dont care much about the ripping multiple times, but I like the rest, Especially tying it to persians.

@ Cameron - A CBN dicard is harder to pull off with all the protection against d/c these days.  I dont think Plot is as bad as everyone says it is.

Maybe John the Baptist's SA should include human, I don't think converting demons is a good idea 0.o

I agree with wanting the 12 disciples to have a little more power than they do.

I also think that a bunch of the revelation stuff needs reprinted. You could do a whole set out of that! I'll have more specifics when my brain is no longer putty..

Interupt the battle, discard all heroes in play, draw 3 cards, you may play the next enhancement

Going back to the conversion thing, only Humans can be converted by game rule so I never include "human" just to save space.

I never knew that, I always thought it was just that no cards could convert demons because of the wording... :dunno:

Good gold Jephtah  ;D
No, Gold/Red! :D

Jepthah
Gold/Red Hero 7 / 4
Class: Warrior
Special Ability: Once per game, holder may discard the top card from his deck to discard any two Evil Characters in a territory or set-aside area. May band to a Warrior Class Hero with a Judges Reference. Cannot be negated if another hero is in battle.

Also, very much want all of Pol's suggestions.

Going back to the conversion thing, only Humans can be converted by game rule so I never include "human" just to save space.
Angels can be converted as well.

Right, but the point was Demons can never be converted anyway so it's a waste of space to specify "human."

Right, but the point was Demons can never be converted anyway so it's a waste of space to specify "human."

I have always believed that since demons cannot be converted, then Angels cannot be captured.  Seriously which is more ridiculous a converted demons or an angel "trapped" in a net?  I also support the "Captured Demons cannot be Redeemed" foundation but I think they can be given back in stead of a LS similar to Raiders camp.

I changed my mind about my most wanted reprint.  Although I still want another plot, I think that this card is probably the one with the most desperate need of a makeover

David’s Tent
Type: Fortress • Brigade: Multicolor • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: If your Hero defeats an Evil Character carrying a weapon class enhancement, take weapon and place it in this Site. During Site phase, holder may convert a weapon here to any good brigade and place on a warrior class Hero. Special ability on converted weapon has no effect. • Play As: If your Hero defeats an Evil Character carrying a weapon class enhancement, take weapon and place it in this Site. During Preparation Phase, holder may convert a weapon here to any good brigade and place on a warrior class Hero. Special ability on converted weapon is negated. • Identifiers: None • Verse: I Samuel 17:54

here is the makeover that I would give it:

David’s Tent
Type: Fortress • Brigade: Multicolor • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: If your Hero defeats an Evil Character carrying a weapon class enhancement, take weapon and place it in this Site. During Site phase, holder may convert a weapon here to any good brigade and place on a warrior class Hero. During Preparation Phase, holder may convert a weapon here to any good brigade and place on a warrior class Hero. Special ability on converted weapon cannot be negated is negated. • Identifiers: None • Verse: I Samuel 17:54

That could be fun!
