But why? Would scorpions of the earth be warriors? I don't think so.
As an aside, it's way too strong. Like, scary strong. Battle-winning ability against 3 or fewer heroes? Protected from humans? CBN? Check please.
Why does it have black? Because the old one did?
I think I might like the art better than the old one though. :D
Warrior because 1) they were an "army" and 2) They were wearing armor. and yes, black because the old one and because there is a black WC Enhancement called blade of death that could previously only be used by morg (who was a mistake imo). I also agree, that is way too strong. the CBN was an accident lol.

Well these are clearly not natural scorpions- they are definitely demonic. They attack those who have the mark of the beast for 5 months which just torments them but can't kill (The text says that they are actually prevented from even killing themselves, as we can infer that some will want to because of the pain of the locust sting). So maybe another idea for the the ability could be to only target evil characters instead, have a 5 turn effect, and also protect evil humans from discard?
Definitely a huge upgrade on the art! Great job!
And yes great point about them being an army- they definitely are!
Maybe they could be orange and crimson since they're demons and beasts?

So I did some searching, and found the first new card thread I ever did (I think) in 2010, just a wee sophomore in college :o. I remade one of them now, since it fits with this topic:
Ha ha, time sure flies

Get rid of the black brigade, change the title back to Locusts from the Pit (much catchier), and I'm iffy about the warrior class.

Random ruling question, if a character is protected from discard, but decreases to*/0 or less, what happens?

it was ruled that Joseph would stay in battle with /0 then would be discarded if he returned to territory with /0 after the battle

V2 is much better!
For the SA, do you mean "Protected from discard abilities on humans and demons"?
I know Jesse mentioned that he could be crimson because he's a beast. It seems there might be some confusion. Crimson is for animals. Beasts (in Redemption) are not animals. Beasts are only a subset of demons. Meaning he should only be orange.

You can replace "while in battle" with "if blocking." That is the standard term we use.
For the X I think you want "X=# of cards opponent has drawn from his special abilities this turn." 8)
