Just had this idea while thinking about ways to navigate around "Protect from first" abilities, and realized it could be much more interesting than that...

So first of all, it can totally devastate FbtN, no matter how big the band or character (while being unusable if you are FbtN yourself). Also, if you are facing someone who is protected from the first enhancement, whip 'em to get that out of the way and then do whatever you want. It can also kill 1/1 heroes. And it makes Arrogance more attractive. As a nice bonus, I like how the ability fits the object. Thoughts?

You do realize this is an auto win right? If it keeps returning to hand, just keep playing it until your opponent is dead. Oh and it never dies. So if you pair it with a 1/1 EC you could theortically have an unstoppable defense with 2-3 cards.

Now your way over exaggerating. Any kind of play ability on a fortress or an artifact will stop this and you can't whip a player to death without flipping inish befor the killing blow because it only decreases by one.
You may want to add a clause about the decrease only remaining through the battle though.
I love it. Oh and if you pair it with Arrogance it would be a CBN Battle winner.

Actually, once your opponent's numbers go below yours, he has initiative, which actually helps him in most cases. If you are 1/1, you can bring your opponent down to 1/1, but then he is a permanent initiative beast. Sure, combine this with a 1/1 guy and Wasting Disease and you have a pretty nice defensive combo, but artifacts (and especially curses) are easy enough to get rid of. This card itself is not ultra powerful.
EDIT: Instaposted. Yeah, "till end of battle" will be safer. I'll make that change.

This is seriously one of the coolest card ideas I've seen in awhile. I wouldn't add regardless of protection though. But it would definitely make Arrogance worthwhile. Nice job!

Love the idea, but it should have some numbers. I get that they'd rarely see use, but a 0/0 weapon is weird.

See I'd disagree with putting numbers on it. I get that it's weird to have a wepon with no #'s but it is a decrease ability so it is still #'s oriented. I also think putting numbers on it would be a little meaningless because the card returns to hand immediately so #'s wouldn't stick.

Well, I thought about not making it a weapon at all. That would also make it a bit more mortal, since it would take up room in your hand. What about that?

It's not a card that would be automatically put in every crimson deck but it would be put in some. I think the card would be more widely used if it was half brown but that would make it much, much stronger.

How hard is it to get a 0/1 EC? Because I just realized that might be a problem. It would only affect heroes whose strength is greater than or equal to their toughness, but that's a good percentage.
Although I suppose "negate last" would still be able to target this, so maybe it's no big thing.

Love the idea of bouncing enhancements though, nice job.

Nice card. Just going to warn you though, bouncing cards usually end up making loops, which combo players will break.

Yeah, I pretty much picked Crimson since that's the color of blood. The ability probably fits brown better, but then again, Arrogance... If only RC could do half-brigades.
