A valid character is tossed when entering play or battle. When your character is tossed, it applies its defense as a permanent */* decrease to a character in play and is then discarded instead of going to its normal location. If all Heroes have been tossed before the defender has a chance to block, the battle is resolved as an unsuccessful battle challenge neither player won nor lost.
