Title: Glory of the Lord reprint
Post by: Josh on February 25, 2011, 07:53:30 PM
Good dominant
Same verse
Identifier:  Holds Solomon's Temple or The Tabernacle, Asherah Pole cannot be activated in either one
"Place in a territory:  Protect that player's hand and deck from discard, search, and shuffle.  Protect contents and artifacts held in them from discard, and their abilities cannot be negated.  If this card is removed from territory, return contents to territory instead."

Goals:
1.  Make a counter for a first-turn Mayhem that will be useful in certain decks (basically needs to be a dominant to play it out of turn)
2.  Make the card somewhere above useless and below OP
3.  Make a reprint of Glory of the Lord that might actually get used
4.  Add an element of strategy (do I protect myself from discard and shuffle/Mayhem but lose the ability to search my deck?  Or do I want to include this card to stop my opponent from searching?)

The last sentence of the ability is so the temple and its artifact don't get discarded if Glory gets shuffled/discarded/etc.

I wouldn't use it, only because it has the same issue as Nazareth. It stops my own search abilities.

Maybe u should have it negate only my opponent's Searching abilities.

You should make it say shuffle abilities because otherwise it would stop your deck from being shuffled after searched so you could set up a completely cause your aloud to organize things while searching so you could put all useful  cards on top then not shuffle.

How can that happen. ???

Anything that discards a good card from territory could discard it.

Glory of the Lord needs to be stronger.

Glory of the Lord needs to be stronger.
OT in general could use the boost.

I would go for something like this:
"Place on your Tabernacle or Solomon's Temple: Protect temple artifacts and good OT fortresses in your territory from opponents' cards. Your temple artifacts cannot be negated. Discard this card if Asherah Pole is in your territory."

I think it should be placed in territory as an identifier. The SA should protect all o.t. Temples in territory, and... something else good.

I like the idea of placing it on The Tabernacle or Solomon's Temple, because then it doesn't do anything unless you have one of those. Not only is that Bibically accurate, but it also promotes the use of those cards in the game.
